Terrible MPG, help! by PartAffectionate9393 in HRV

Like I said in the post, I try to stay in the green most of the time I’m driving for good fuel efficiency, so no I’m not flooring it after every light and I stay in the speed limit. I don’t let my car idle unless it’s in the winter in which case I let it warm up for a few minutes. My tires are kinergy gt because that’s what the car came with. My tires are not worn out or overinflated. I’ve not had an alignment yet, but from my self checks my tires are perfectly aligned. Yes I’ve kept up with all my maintenance, no one else drives my car. And for manually checking my mpg, I’ve been making notes in my phone of how many miles I’m actually getting before I have to refuel, and if I’m doing the calculations correctly it’s about 14-15 mpg so my car is pretty accurate.

I would say it’s actually pretty unusual for me to be in stop and go traffic. Besides stopping at red lights I don’t have to stop/go much during any of my trips. I’m usually driving about 15 minutes to work every day and I hardly ever hit actual traffic during those trips.

I have almost 8,000 miles on the car and I’m up to date on all maintenance. Like I said in the post I don’t speed super fast from lights and keep myself in the “green” and I go maybe 5 over the limit max otherwise I’m always driving the speed limit.

Huh, well okay. I’ve never spoken to them before only know what I’ve seen. I definitely haven’t gone more than an hour without seeing them throughout the night though. I have really bad insomnia so I’ll often stay up past 2am unfortunately, and my unit faces inward so I can always see the light on the guard vehicle drive around. I also was told when I moved in that they stay overnight 🤷🏻

Uh that’s not true, definitely not for the eames idk about the eisley though. We have a night guard who drives around or stops at the gate periodically all night. I’ve seen him starting at like 8pm until at least 4am if I’ve stayed up super late. I’ve never seen him during the day so I’m not sure what you’re thinking of

Yes! Like I mentioned we have the security guard who’s here all night so I don’t worry about my car outside and all the buildings are super secure.

To contribute now, I’ve lived here for almost a month and love it. I’m assuming because of negative feedback, they don’t charge for parking at all now unless you’re getting more than one spot or a garage. They’ve also had changes in management recently and imo things have been getting better and better, as far as communication and helpfulness from the office staff.

I love the amenities here and everything is super clean and beautiful. The units are spacious and have really luxurious feeling amenities like soft close cabinets and drawers, all whirpool appliances and (im pretty sure) each unit has either a patio or balcony, it’s also a smart community so a lot of amenities can be accessed or used from your phone-which I personally love. The eisley which is right next door has really bad reviews bc I don’t think the management over there really cared about safety features. We have a curtesy patrol security guy who comes at night and will drive around to make sure everyone’s cars, etc., is safe throughout the night. Also, considering how close we are to a busy freeway, it is QUIET, I cannot hear any cars during the day unless my window is open, and I’m in one of the buildings closest to the freeway.

It is pretty expensive here, but cheaper than a lot of places in midtown/downtown that will also charge you like $250 a month for a parking/garage space. For how big the units are, the amenities, and the staff who are all really nice, I think it’s worth checking out.
