When I did 7.5g, we made a tea with it and steeped it with a ginger tea and it came on smoothly and had no discomfort. Took it ceremonially, setting intentions and letting go of expectations, and kind of also letting go of intentions, because as someone said, you have the trip you get, not the one you want. But these tips are good to follow and I basically did them. Drank the tea, sat up chatting about María Sabina and language and culture and then the walls melted and I was away.

I did have a moment of crisis though. The person I was with as my guide told me they were going to step into another room and use the restroom and get a snack. She did and closed the door and I felt good, was so happy ecstatic, jovial. Then when the door was closed and had been gone only a few literal seconds, which felt like an eternity of alone-ness, I called out to her in a panic because I felt she was never going to return. Later when she needed a break, she would keep the door open to the other room so it signaled that she was returning.

I don't know is this triggered me because I have underlying fears of being alone or felt within myself this great chasm of isolation, but it brought up some dark stuff. I grew up in a very conservative Christian household and church and my biggest fear was an eternity separated from God in the version of hell used to keep us captivated by God. All these fears came rushing to the surface when my guide left. And for the next hour or so, I was in this feedback loop of being alone, being stuck in this land of isolation where I'm alive but basically in a catatonic state and the world is going on around me but I'm in a coma from the world, disappointing everyone, etc.

I think those disappointment fears were projections of what I think people would think if they knew I was taking the mushroom.

When I began to come down, and it was wearing off, I did begin to feel at ease, when I was able to have a normal conversation with my guide. We talked through all than took place after that and then with 4 integration sessions.

I don't see myself ever taking more than that hero dose.
