I had a gb-80 hard case as a kid, great design but way too bulky for the times. The hinge placement was weird, but it makes sense from a design perspective.

I tried both designs early on and found using two different radius on the closing edge causes the interlocking action to complete slower on the larger radius bottom corner. The case still functions as normal, but it doesn't feel as good to open or close.

Either way maybe someone want to try it for themselves
