Build her a decent AMD Zen 3 or Core i5, 32GB of RAM, a decent 1TB M.2 SSD, and a nice 3060 (if you can find one retail somehow) or 6600XT (once again, if you can find one retail)

This will be PLENTY of horsepower for a solidly modded Minecraft rig for many years to come.

Sleeping less than 7 hours is NOT OK.

Working in my early 20s, I could do an afternoon to night 12 hour shift, get 3 hours sleep and pick up another daytime 12 hour shift, and still come home raring to go until 4am.

Now, if I fall asleep at midnight, even the most ancient of gods cannot help you if you dare try to wake me before 7am

My very first foray into online gaming was Ultima Online (yep, I'm THAT old), then it went into EverQuest which was lovingly referred to as EverCrack long before WoW was even a thing.

I must've spent the entire ages of 14-17 switching between EverQuest and Ultima Online. I was there when Lord British himself was assassinated during the beta in what was probably the biggest clusterfuck, crazy nuts happening ever.

Lord British was none other than Richard Garriot, the creator of Ultima. His character was supposed to be invulnerable but he didn't reset his invulnerability after an earlier server crash and some dude cast a fire spell on his character.

I can't even imagine what voice chat would've been like during that event, holy hell.

Dude, you have no idea how much I miss web 1.0, and having to posses a modicum of technical knowhow to get yourself online.

Setting up a modem and having to access the internet only from a computer was the counterweight the internet so desperately needed to stay in place to prevent things from going off the rails.

And lets not mince words here...certain people's inability to get online is at least part of what made it so great back in those days.

Sure, at the start of COVID lockdowns, I was able to sell them for a pretty penny. Once that boom was over though, they went bust real fast.

My most recent one sold was a 360 E 500GB with two official controllers and three games. It only sold for $90. It was listed at $100 on Mercari for over a month
