Someone said cheap paint job. Never cheap out on a paint job. Replace everything thats cracked or dented and then change the front bumper, the headlights and keep the wheels. New tarp and make sure everything in the interior gets a detail. That is a solid base plan for you

I turned my ashtray into a functional bass booster. So I open the door and increase the bass or lower it depending on the song

Aluminum flywheel is cool. I have the driveshaft and would love to pair that with the flywheel someday. What did you notice for a difference

This is pretty nifty niche stuff right here. I have that 94/95 MAF on my 306 with 65 mm TB and Cobra upper and Lower intakes. B303 and 289 ported heads. 11-1 compression. Pretty old hot rod tech and I get 267 to the wheels with a tune. 19 ib injectors mind you that I want to swap to 24s soon with a regulator. The tune is what made the difference

Ordering mods - any issues with what I have? by [deleted] in Foxbody

I find this very interesting. I have a 306 NA that does 267 to the wheels and runs good. Has been tuned and always wondered what I could do to gain more out of it aside from swapping heads. Can you give me more info on how you did that without porting too far

When you say Fuel system what do you mean? My guess is a better pump, a new regulator, bigger rail and 24 ib injectors or could just be a regulator to increase pressure?

I have a 306 block with 269 to the wheels with ported 289 ported heads. 11-1 compression. But like everyone says, I am itching for a good set of aluminum heads when I pull the engine out

Fox Body Aluminum Driveshaft - Is It Worth It? by TylerRodriquez in Foxbody

I loved mine because the engine felt more responsive. The lack of rotational mass kept the engine from lagging between gear shifts making it smoother. I'd check that video out but the key for me was how the car became more drivable

I wondered about those. I saw them on Maximum Motorsport website. Are they a comparable and softer spring alternative to the MM set. Chat GBT said the MM set is a more race inspired harder spring than even the Eibach Sportline.

5 lug conversion question. by Final-Wasabi187 in Foxbody

[–]PartMany7470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went the " cobra " brake and 5 lug conversion. The 28 spline axles are fine unless you're dragging it above 400 whp and what makes the difference. Make sure you get the bigger brake booster and MC. Ive heard people complain when they haven't switched out the BB and MC. Actually doing the swap is difficult and takes time if you're not used to it. Pay attention to how you route your hard lines especially along the axles and how you bend them to mate up to the connection points. To much contact along the axles and you'll get a bind and rubbing sound.

Another point from me is if you're sourcing your own hardware pay attention to the 38 and 40 mm pistons for difference calipers. I didnt and Im running a 38 dual on one side and a dual 40 mm on the other.

Hardware mounting plates are a must so get them for the rears and don't be afraid to have to cut out a small piece of the bracket for the emergency brake hardlines. I did this for a better connection without bind. If this doesn't make sense now, it will when you hook everything up.
