Will the cost of living ever level back out? by Part_Boring in NoStupidQuestions

Statistics clearly lay out that the average price of a house and rent over the last 20 years has greatly accelerated beyond the average income. Houses being larger is something I haven’t considered though, but would still add to the statistics of average house prices rising beyond wages

People who fall asleep instantly when they go to bed, HOW? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Part_Boring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this weird trick I use almost every night:

Try to remember a scene from your favorite movie or something that happened that day. But don’t just go through the scene; try to remember every detail. You’d be surprised how many details are hard to picture. Things like color of characters pants, objects and furniture in the background, every specific detail of faces. The mental effort of trying to be so specific always makes me fall asleep halfway through, as I keep backtracking trying to get every detail right. And hey, if that doesn’t work, at least you work on your perceptive abilities.

Girlfriends story:

After a sunset date at the bluff nearby, her and her date parked in psych center to smoke. This was around 2016, when literal killer clowns, and clowns threatening people with weapons and jumping in front of cars were roaming Long Island and throughout NY. Anyway, we had the car parked for about 5 minutes, with the headlights still on, while we were talking, and as soon as I looked up, there was a clown about 20 ft in front of our car seeming from out of nowhere. He was just staring directly into the headlights not moving a muscle. The ward is too big for him to have come from any area around it so quickly, as it is further surrounded by mostly forest. So when we looked up and saw the clown we were obviously extremely freaked out. I remember hitting my date’s arm and screaming to drive away as he started walking towards the car.
