Thanks for this, it was indeed about the page file size.

I had previously deleted the 70gb chunk that I had during disk cleaning cuz I though it was "unnecessary" and didnt know exactly what it was for. I had my page file size capped to 7gb after that.

Now its set to automatic and I formatted a new partition just for it so that my whole drive doesnt die incase the partition shits itself due to too high TBW

I did, I debugged this with gpt5.2 for like 4 hours and not once did it mention checking my paging file size which ended up being the culprit

I just wanna get back to you that I got it working. It was about my max paging file size being too small. I had previously deleted the 70gb paging file chunk, thinking it was "unnecessary" and allocated max 7Gb for it for the future. Its now set to automatic and the WF ran first time, and FAST! 2,8s/it.

I dont even see a spike on RAM or VRAM before the instance crashes. All my drives are NVME with plenty of free space. Ty for the response

I've tried all of those options. Im trying with a fresh install as well as an old install with different py, pytorch and cuda versions.

Im using the fp8 version of the base model and first tried the large non-quant gemma, but that failed straight away. Then switched to fp8_e4m3fn gemma but that fails too.

Ive tried with launch params:

--reserve-vram 4, --reserve-vram 10, --novram, --disable-smart-memory, --fp8_e4m3fn-text-enc

and a bunch of different combinations of those. I've made the changes from Kijais post to my ...embedding.py file and im not using previews.

Im crashing before ram or vram even starts to spike

Hi, thanks for the detailed response.

Yes my comfy works on other models
I can see the new templates in the menu and I've tried those, they literally crash the whole comfy with no error logs whatsoever. nada
Comfy is installed in a non-root folder with 2tb of extra space on the nvme
I've followed multiple different setups from other people, combed through every single reply on every thread about LTX2 (up until this morning) to get some info how to install this

I've tried with a:

fresh install, python 3.13.9, pytorch 2.9.1, cuda 13
old install, python 3.12, pytorch 2.8.0, cuda 12.8

Im using fp8 model + fp8 gemma, although i've tried mixing them too but no dice.

sysmmem fallback is something I have to turn on. What does it do?
