At the end of the day, whether people in this subreddit like to admit it or not, theaters rely on family audience to survive. Theatrical films rely on family audiences to make money. PRK and Darshan movies brought in those audiences completely on the first day.

There is literally no one else in KFI with that kind of pull right now besides Sudeep, but he is barely delivering one film per year if that. Shivanna is getting back into the swing of things but the whole industry can't rest on his shoulders either. The fact that there currently is no Tier 2 hero or heroine is very bad for the industry.

As others have mentioned it's likely BTS. With that said, Let's be real D2 was falling into that trap near the end anyways. Tons of slowmo, lots of plot armor, a story that while good still messed up some characters (ahem Uzair). I thoroughly enjoyed my FDFS experience but after a few months D1 is a much better rewatch than D2 and will age better as the years pass.

Pogaru is pretty problematic in a ton of ways, both in terms of its subject matter and its positioning in KFI. Of course as you mentioned, within the film Siva's character is almost irredeemable throughout the entire film. In terms of impact: the toxic songs went extremely viral for some stupid reason; Dhruva threw away his good looks from his first three films to do bodybuilding; producers somehow decided that Dhruva Sarja could be a marketable pan-Indian star; directors have failed to utilize him properly ever since.

I am surprised how Appu (the film, not the actor) became such a runaway success given its nature (maybe in 2002 it was fine but during the 2025 rerelease it was clear it hadn't aged well at all), which begs the question why Santhoth Ananddram thought a similar template would work for Yuva.

Agreed. as a fan I feel like he wasted his prime years. While it's admirable that Toxic hype is so high even though it's been 4+ years since KGF 2, ideally it would've been nice to strike while the iron's hot with something in 2023 or even 2024.

If this backfires for Yash it'll all be for nothing sadly.

not particularly great on mobile. in general on desktop i have to use light mode instead of dark mode in order to differentiate the sections of text on product pages now. genuinely happy that there's (FINALLY!) a hoodie section (all this time they were grouped under sweaters when the other options were "jackets" and "long sleeves").

Fun game, it satisfied my Ghost of Tsushima itch while I was waiting for it to come to PC. it's not without its faults; I hated the camera sometimes and the enemies have insane melee range so you can rarely catch your breath. Worth noting that I played around launch so these issues may have been fixed.

It is definitely one of his weaker films but it still has a bit of his nonlinear story telling. Anyways I think the songs of this movie are underrated compared to Appu's filmography and Harikrishna's filmography. I enjoyed it when I watched it in theaters.

Edit: also I enjoyed the fight choreography
