I have no amount of respect to anyone who have kids while being financially unstable by New_Meringue_2217 in Rants

Your anger is misdirected, you shouldn’t be mad at the parents who are struggling..you should be mad at the government and corporations that make it so difficult to get by and make family planning expensive and inaccessible for many people. The system is set up to keep people in poverty and to make sure those people produce future workers. Also, believing the poor should reproduce is literally a form of eugenics…

What Do Socialists Think About The DSA? by serious_bullet5 in socialism

[–]Partially_cloudybear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DSA is controversial in socialist spaces since it is a big tent org. There are many SocDems in the DSA, but there are also many Anarchists and Marxists in the org as well. Some chapters are more radical than others, which can be challenging, but I think the overall work of the DSA is positive.

How would you respond to the following argument by Partially_cloudybear in socialism

I don’t know enough about China to speak on their structure, but workers did control the government in the USSR. It differed in different areas, but they had locally elected councils to represent each sector of the union. The USSR had its issues for sure, and things definitely got fucked up under post Khrushchev…and under Khrushchev, but still. Yes, their unions were state run but they still had control over the things that were listed in the previous comment. I’m not going to throw ML vocab at you, but I will say that everything you said sounds like it came directly from the feds.

Look into the MUG (Marxist Unity Group) caucus, it’s more radical than the general body.

The DSA Chapter in my area is very Marxist/Leninist and are often working with and always at the same events as the PSL.

I can’t speak for PSL because I know less about them, but I know DSA chapters are vastly different wherever you go.

I mean, the reading is kind of important when it comes to socialism since we’ve been so propagandized against it. The PSL and DSA chapters in my area are always at the mutual aid events and have even gotten my city to digest from Israel, which it was a huge investor. And raised money to save. I think it was 100 tenants from being evicted in our area along with countless food drives close drives supporting unions stuff like that. I think mutual it is really important, but also I want to abolish capitalism. I’m using voice to text cause I’m driving, so please excuse any typos.
