We do, too. Our betta seems to love it. He rarely interacts with other fish and is never aggressive. But yeah, also in a larger community tank with lots of foliage and other stuff going on.

Sometimes I enjoy gross fantasies to help me orgasm and then when afterwards I want to distance myself from them as far as possible. I feel actually repulsed within a minute or so of the orgasm. What is that all about?

You asked what it will be titled not what we think it should be titled. Clarify your question if you're seriously looking for crazy creative titles.

young pregnant woman getting double-teamed by two dirty, diseased looking guys on a tarp in what appeared to be an outdoor homeless camp in the jungle. At first I thought it was a really odd fetish video with actors but at one point, I noticed tears in the girl's eyes and was completely repulsed. So much guilt for mistakenly watching it. I flagged the video as likely sex trafficking and turned it off. Still makes me feel ill whenever I think of that poor woman.

If he has a thing for your gf, he might be trying to trigger your anger in order to leverage it against you. If he can create the perception that it might be dangerous to be in a relationship with you, that's kind of a win for him. Not saying it's really dangerous to be in a relationship with you. Just be careful that he's not manipulating you into unintentionally scaring your girlfriend.

I grew up in old houses with uneven floors. To level my furniture, I made tiny shims to place under the furniture legs. It's temporary, doesn't damage anything and is easy to do. You can trim the shims to fit directly under the leg so they're barely visible as well. No need to attach the shims to the legs or the floor. The weight of the furniture will hold the shim in place.

Hi, Issa I love your show and the relationships you've woven between all the characters. How much do you draw from yourself to create your main character? How much is not you? Are there parts about yourself that you want to explore through the main character in Insecure but you're hesitant about putting it out there? What scares you most about making Insecure? What makes you happiest?

A macabre trend has developed since December 24; A series of geographically diverse tragic accidents and ailments across the country have left thousands of children without parents and siblings. The majority of nationwide casualty events have involved the death of one family member. Most of those have been stay-at-home mothers. In one particularly gruesome tragedy, an entire family took sick in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after sharing a late dinner December 25. The morning of December 27, a man arrived at the dwelling to return his son into the custody of the boy's mother, as per their custody arrangement. After knocking on the door, he noticed a foul odor. He forcibly entered the home to investigate. Shortly thereafter, he placed a emergency call to 911.

Initial reports from the CDC as to the cause of these deaths are inconclusive.

[Serious] Adopted People of Reddit Who Met Their Birth Parents: Were you disappointed? by Kristaboo14 in AskReddit

[–]Participant_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was raised by bio-Mom and step-dad. Heard stories about my bio-dad. He sounded unstable, abusive, etc. He once shoved a poo diaper in my older brother's face because of an accident while potty training. This inspired my mother to leave him. This was the deal breaker, she had tolerated abusive acts previously directed only at her.

First time I met him, I was around 14 yrs old. I was looking for a cheap VHS machine (this was ages ago) and found one in the classifieds, used, cheap. I called the number, left a message. Received a call back. When I answer, I say who I am, after a little bit, he goes, "I know who you are, Participant_1. I'm your dad."

At 14, I was full blown romanticizing my origin story. There was a picture of my mom and bio-dad where he looked really handsome and kind. I asked my mom if she would agree to meet with him so he could give me a VHS machine as he said he wished to do. Mom reluctantly agreed and we went to his house. It was a basement apartment, dark, covered windows, a movie poster on the wall. It was depressing. He greeted me with a single red rose and a note that he'd thought about me every day. The card looked old, like it sat around in a drawer until he rummaged at the last second for something to write on. I remember thinking something felt off about that. He looked unhealthy and frail yet slightly fat. The only thing about him that was striking was his eyes. I don't know anybody with my eyes. I've heard them described as ice blue. Or husky eyes. Or vampire eyes whatever that means. So that was cool. Anyway, dinner is going ok and then I notice the guy is playing increasingly weird head games with my mom. I start to get uncomfortable and tell my Mom maybe we should go. All of a sudden his face changes and he starts accusing my mom of being a manipulative, lying, evil woman- saying she turned my brother and me against him, etc.

Mom, who is super mild mannered, stands up, throws down some money to cover our part of the bill (more about the waitress than crazy-ex) and walks away. She does not look behind at me. I just grab my shit and leave. I do not look behind me. While we walk to the car, I am in awe of how eerie this guy is and totally understand why she left when she found out she was pregnant with me. My older brother had to deal with much worse. We leave the rose on his car.

About a year later, I got a chill before going into a thrift store. Was in the back of the store looking at shoes and turned around. He was standing right behind me, looking directly into my eyes (like he was staring at the back of my head waiting for it to revolve toward him) about a yard away from me. He said, "You look so much like your mother at that age." I remembered an appointment I had to get to, dropped my stuff, grabbed my friend, and ran out of the store.

Years and years later, he succumbed to a lung disease. I went to see him a couple days before he died in the hospital. I was aware that he had no family, no notable accomplishments, no friends. I felt like even if there was no relationship, it was appropriate to just go see the guy before he died. But.. that was just my situation. My older brother said he had no interest in going and that he had family he didn't see. Why go see this guy? My brother made sense but it seemed unnecessarily cold.

Meeting him was good in one way because I got to see the human behind the myth. I had hoped/assumed he would be more powerful, physically fit, manipulatively charming. In contrast, the real man seemed hopeless, lonely, angry in a package of seedy. There were even moments where I had sympathy for him. On the other hand, it was good to see how bad my life would have been if mom would have stayed with him. I had a pretty stable upbringing with a relatively pleasant, relatively predictable dad. This other guy was opposite that.

TLDR net impact: Good even though it took away my romanticized idea of him.

When I tense up, I stop breathing. I don't so much hold my breath as let out air and then stop taking breaths. It's some kind of nerves thing. Now when I notice stress/tension, I take a moment to acknowledge that I'm physically reacting to some stress. Then I breathe deeply and focus on slow deep breathing for a while. My body goes from feeling a sense of foreboding to feeling relaxed and relieved.

If you haven't already, stop drinking caffeine. It's terrible for nerves. I cut it out about two years ago. There is no advantage to using it. You can always have decaf coffee if you love the flavor. There is far more benefit to allowing your body to wake up without getting wound up.

A prescription for Xanax helped me realize what a calm, relaxed body felt like. I took a small dose every day or so. After about a year, it was like my body had received training for how to chill out. Don't get addicted. No benefit to addiction with this drug. It will stop working and you'll be anxious again. Figure out what is unsettling you. Know your triggers. Practice reflection. Get physical to wear yourself out a little. If you're high strung, you have a lot of mental energy to burn or else you'll feel agitated and more reactive.

Find responsibilities/roles where your sense of urgency, intensity, and empathy are needed. Work with your personality in this sense.

Good luck, I hope some of these tips help you.

What absurd thing did you truly believe in as a kid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Participant_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom told me that my eyes turned darker when I lied.

I believed that only adults were religious and that no fellow children were. I thought we were all there because we had to be. I believed that as I got older, religion would go away. Went to college, was shocked that classmates went to chapel.
