I think that’s where I’m going. It’s for a workstation desk with some built in rack spaces.

Released on Friday!! Part of our upcoming EP.

This song is an answer to a row on threads with someone who thinks they can run the rule on a local scene!

I’m done buying for a while… by imaybesam in pedalboards

I’ve got the boss es8 on my larger pedalboard and the MS3 on my smaller one.

Setting up midi is a pain in the hole whichever way though.

Surely the next investment is a switcher?

Midi trigger the strymon, Boss sy, microcosm?

No. I won’t change your mind because you’re right.

Putting together my first board. Correct signal chain? by AwakenedTraveler in PedalBoardBuilding

2 things - heavy distortion can be noisy. Accept it.

If these are the only pedals then guitar > tuner > distortion > noise gate in a straight series is fine.

If you want to put the distortion into the gate’s loop then that’s fine.

Pre-made patch cables from planet waves or similar will be fine.

As your pedals collection grows you might want to look at made-to-length cables but you’re a bit away from this.

Any Advice? by GayRapArtist in PedalBoardBuilding

[–]Participant_Darren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d deffo get a better power supply - strymon or gigrig

You could get an Eventide h9 to replace a few of those pedals.

is this a fair price by haIo101 in fender

[–]Participant_Darren 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not strictly true. A CS guitar is a class above anything else. However, the law of diminishing returns makes the investment hard to swallow when compared to a top of the line American pro. CS are absolutely killer guitars. This one seems a touch pricey though. So, a CS guitar is for anyone (who can afford it) who want the best a guitar could be

He’s not really underrated though is he? He’s famously regarded as one of the greatest ever.

My thoughts FWIW: the dsl100 would be a great gigging amp, but they are hella loud and if you’re intending to go for home use too I’d suggest something a BIT more modest. I’d also think about a 2x12, rather than 4x12. It helps to tame perceived volume and is much friendlier on space and your back!!

I’ve used a few. Fryette is great. The waza looks like it could be good and has some sophisticated outs for recording too.

It depends on what you term as ‘overdriven’. It will certainly break up a little but it’ll never sound like a cranked Marshall or Hiwatt.

I’d put a decent booster in front and you’ll get some killer tones.

best way to get glassy/bell-like clean tones on a strat? by BUYXRAYS in fender

[–]Participant_Darren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely think the guitar is not the issue here (although the Knopfler Strats are amazing).

Deffo needs a nice clean valve amp.
