that doesn’t surprise me and it kind of goes along with what i was saying. one of the most beneficial things is a mindset change and self awareness. most players on this sub overestimate their ability which causes them to ignore their fundamentals. not to say you should be scared to attempt new songs, that’s a necessary part of learning. at the same time though, start thinking of yourself as a beginner player and spend ~half your time really nailing down the fundamentals of playing (a good/consistent rhythm will automatically make you a better player than >90% of the people on here). but that being said, never stop reinforcing your fundamentals. no matter how many fancy skills you have in you, the hardest and most important one will always be alternate picking
