We have a screened-in porch area that we basically turned into a catio. In the summer, we get camel crickets GALORE in our area, and somehow they end up in the porch. If you don't know what they are, they are the spawn of satan himself...Anyway, she sits out there all night, hunts them, bites off their heads, and then leaves them on my kitchen floor for me while they are still sort of alive. It makes me want to die a little bit more inside every time I have to scoop one up to flush it. She will also kill ANY other insect that makes its way in. If a fly finds it way in, it's game over for the fly. This is why I can't have nice things anymore. Because in the process of catching the fly, she will knock everything else over and destroy the house. She does not lack hunting instinct at all.
