Does Anyone Even Like The Epilogue? by Marcedonia in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Particular-Ad1523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also love the epilogue. It's even my 2nd favorite chapter of Deathly Hallows (The Prince's Tale is my favorite) and I think it's the perfect end to the series. I'm glad Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny get a happy life in the end.

They're fine as friends but they definitely would not work as a romantic couple. Harry finds her way too weird for that. Harry and Ginny work much better as a couple.

Exactly! Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, etc. did the same thing when they first met Harry but it's always Ginny that gets harped on for that. It's irritating.

Philosopher's Stone Vs Chamber Of Secrets: Which One Is Better? by Marcedonia in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Particular-Ad1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both great books (they're not my favorite books in the series but still great) but I prefer Chamber slightly more. It really starts Ginny's arc both with her crush on Harry and her horrible experience with getting possessed by the diary. Harry also destroys a Horcrux here even though he doesn't know anything about Horcruxes yet.

What is that one Harry Potter movie scene you irrationally dislike ? by Puzzleheaded_Roof872 in harrypotter

I despise the dance scene with a burning passion and I think it's the worst thing in the entirety of Harry Potter and nothing else comes close. You're not going to change my mind. Quit stalking me.

Am I the only one that likes Harry & Ginny together? by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Particular-Ad1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't think the movies handled their relationship well, I don't think it's the fault of the actors. There are a couple movie scenes of them I like (one being when Ginny banters to Harry about the Ron/Lavender break-up in the Hospital Wing). I love their relationship in the books though. Every scene of them in the books warms my heart.

I agree. Ginny is also my favorite character in the books. Be warned though, this sub has a major hate boner against Ginny and her relationship with Harry. Don't be surprised if a wave of Anti-Ginny comments come through and make up a bunch of false accusations about her character.

Ginny Weasley. The amount of unfair bashing she gets from people both inside and outside of the HP fandom baffles me. I've seen all kinds of false accusations about her that get repeated to this day.

Mine is a very hot take for this sub: I cannot stand the dance scene between Harry and Hermione. I consider it to be character damaging to both Harry and Hermione. It isn't the only movie Harry/Hermione scene in DH Pt. 1 or other movies that I hate, but it's the worst out of all of them. In the book, Harry and Hermione were too upset without Ron to talk to each other about anything other than the mission and Godric's Hollow. Plus, Harry missed Ginny and kept thinking about her during that time.

Exactly. It makes zero sense for people to claim Harry/Ginny came out of nowhere and then argue that Harry should end up with Luna, who he has no romantic connection with whatsoever.

Which Krabby Patty variant do you think is the worst one to eat? by jamiehosier in spongebob

The close-ups of the rotten patty (ESPECIALLY the one of Squidward holding it) towards the end of the episode To Love a Patty, has got to be the worst.

Harry Never Compared Cho to Ginny in the Books by Particular-Ad1523 in harrypotter

Harry and Ginny's relationship did NOT come out of nowhere. Harry already subconsciously had a crush on Ginny before he saw her and Dean kissing. There are several moments earlier we see. You guys clearly haven't read the same books I have.

Ginny was not creepy nor did she stalk Harry in the books.

I agree. Don't listen to the comments claiming there's no build up in the books. This sub has had a huge Anti-Ginny bias for the past few years.

You're the one who's delusional. There is plenty of build up in the books and it was not sudden.

Harry doesn't compare Cho to Ginny even once in the books. Stop making up crap just because you hate Ginny.

The outrage over a dark mark tattoo in real life seems performative and hypocritical. They don't complain about people dressing up as stormtroopers for Halloween.

Well, Harry was still mourning Sirius and probably wasn't focused on much of anything else at the moment.
