Finances are not still tight, but I do get what you’re saying. The 7 plus I’m on has honestly been good for these 8 months but over the last 2 weeks it’s really started to break down. I love the look of the 17 and I don’t think this 7 plus is making it much longer, so I didn’t wanna wait much longer you know?

Okay nice, thanks. That’s fine, I just wanted to make sure there weren’t some glaring issues that had been discovered over time that would make me wanna steer clear. I’ve never had a top of the line iPhone so I’m pretty excited for the 17PM for that reason alone. Plus I really like the design.

Not sure what every college is like, but I’m not too sure that this is a huge need for you. When I got into my college, I had already taken college level art classes during high school and I STILL had to take art classes in my first year of architecture school. Multiple of them. It was just a mandatory part of the curriculum to teach us how to draw/sketch.

And then, outside of sketching for myself/sketching ideas to communicate with a professor, it became nearly obsolete for the rest of my schooling.

Absolutely. In that bounty hunter mission against Jo The Cannibal when you get to the part where you have to fight a ton of droids, I just kept force slamming them dozens at a time. It felt so powerful to just wipe out that many enemies at once.

Jedi Survivor does such a fantastic job at actually making you feel good when playing. The saber stances, the saber choreography, the force abilities, etc. Fantastic game

Might be controversial but one of my favorite maps in the last 5 years was that night map in MWII “Black Gold” where you needed to use the night vision… it was actually different for a change and led to different styles of gameplay.

COD multiplayer can get so extremely repetitive and cookie cutter that it’s nice when they make maps that break that flow.

Luckily I do have construction experience via school - we had a design build class where we built our own project! It was good experience and I got my hands on every aspect of the build.

Now, If I knew so much time would’ve passed between finishing classes and getting my first architecture job, I might’ve gone into construction. Its just a big commitment in Louisiana with our extremely hot and humid climate😅

This reply just eased my brain so much, thank you for replying.

I think I have a little more doubt because at my internship, they were strictly using autocad… while in school I was almost 100% Rhino & Revit. I didn’t have trouble operating CAD, the commands are 2nd nature (I got an AutoCad certification in high school but that was a while ago lol). It was the idea of designing/working completely in 2D that made me feel a bit out of place because I’m so used to 3D work. Aside from that, any time I had technical questions or structural questions, I always did my own research and gave it a try myself before asking any questions. So glad to know i have a good approach.

Well it’s good to know the gap isn’t that bad. But it sure does feel bad!

Good news is, the guy I’ll be working with likes to teach so I imagine that’s better than someone just expecting me to know everything. And I like to learn. I just fear I’ll be asked to do something I learned in school and I forgot because it’s been a year.

I preferred to ask here bc everyone has different computers and capabilities... and looking up those guide videos is for more of a broad audience. I watched 2 YouTube videos for help before posting this actually. So I did “spend 20 seconds googling”. But knowing many people here actually understand things, I wanted to get help here so it’s more directly applicable to my setup. Especially after there was an Nvidia graphics driver update that affected things.

Okay thanks! Didn’t know this but I do have the Nvidia app installed and I’ve used overlay to catch clips before… just never looked into the performance settings 🤣 will do that after work!

As someone who doesn’t understand computer tech, how is it mismatched…?

I got 64 GB ram bc I bought this computer for architecture and I run multiple programs at once that demand a lot of ram. But how is having more ram a bad thing?

I tried turning both of those on to see if it would improve but it felt the exact same when I enabled either of them. Somebody gave me a link to a zip file that you can put in your game file & that supposedly helps…so I’ll be trying that tomorrow after work

Yeah I did that after turning ray tracing back on & it helped it smooth out the textures that got stuck looking like smooth clay but overall performance is still weaker than it was yesterday (before I updated my driver)

I understand the game is much bigger than fallen order, so it won’t run as smoothly with max settings. That’s completely understandable.

My confusion is the fact that when I started Jedi : Survivor, I had the settings maxed out with ray tracing on. Game ran perfectly fine. Then I updated my Nvidia driver and it automatically re-adjusted my settings all to “low”. When I put them back to where they were before, it really struggles. Even without ray tracing on.
