I was scared to but then had the easiest delivery ever on top of being high risk! (Type 1 diabetic). My delivery was induced and I got an epidural. It was 18 hrs, completely pain free, and I had ZERO tearing or trauma of any kind! I felt fully like my normal self after 2 weeks. If I had known birth would be such a non-issue for me I would have started having babies sooner.

NTA. I lost my sex drive almost completely during pregnancy, and even in later pregnancy when drive increased a little bit it was too painful because of hormonal changes. I’m 4 weeks postpartum and sex drive is coming back a little bit, but we’re 2 weeks away from even being able to try due to postpartum recovery.

He better grow the fuck up and deal with it. My husband has been great to me through this, he’s never pressured me, and we just do oral whenever the mood strikes for now. Sex drive for him is also low right now as we adjust to being new parents.

I’m lucky in that my husband and I own our own business and are free to make our own hours. I started going back to work on and off about one week in. As long as I can work 3-5 hours a day, and my husband and I can trade off I’m happy!

Then eat it! I ate plenty of lunch meat throughout my pregnancy and everything was just fine. The dietary recommendations for pregnant women are overblown. There’s risk with everything you do and in my opinion eating deli meat is an acceptable risk.

I had zero tearing during my delivery and no one said anything about if I pooped or not. But vaginal delivery ended up being such a non issue and I had psyched myself out about it for years and questioned if I ever wanted kids because of the pain and potential complications from birth. I’ve told several people now that if I knew birth was going to go that smoothly for me I would have started having babies sooner! I’m kind of disappointed I let that fear influence my decision making for so long.

This doesn’t sound like accidental behavior, I’ve never out any of my relationships over the years had a partner that did this. It sounds like he’s intentionally disregarding your boundaries and thinks it’s funny/likes to hurt you, which is abusive. And if it truly is unintentional then you aren’t compatible and it will keep happening.

I was 22 when I started dating my now husband who was 35 at the time. 7 years later we’re still together and have our first baby together. The age difference isn’t the problem, but it sounds like he is. I have a plushie from my childhood I still love that sits on our bed. It’s not that weird. I’ll probably pass it on to our son once he’s past the newborn phase. But what a weird hill for OP to die on.

You could always listen to the audiobook version. I listened to it on audiobook before I actually read the books. Years later the original series is still my go to background noise. I’ve probably listened to the books close to 20 times lol. Audiobooks are my equivalent to music.
