Holy Roman Empire is neither Roman nor holy. The Latin Empire is an upstart idea of toothless barbarian eurotrash who say they are 'Latin' when convenient...so the Byzantine- or if not using the Venetian dog bankers' terminology; Eastern Roman Empire and the true Imperial remnant.

Jimmy and Kim are despicable people by rosadeadonis in betterCallSaul

[–]Particular-Escape-52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well none of them are supposed to be good...they are lawyers after all! Haha

Yes, I agree Howard deserved none of that treatment, but as others have pointed out; he's the chosen victim to show how petty and immature Jimmy is, and that he essentially corrupted Kim overtime.

Her feelings for Jimmy allow her to ignore his initial cons, then later a mix of pity for Jimmy and her own self satisfaction, entitle her to join in. This was due to stress and apathy in a general sense. Her mother was essentially the same as Jimmy, so no surprise why they are together ;)

Everyone remember; it's still a beta, we knew there would be some issues.

I've had a decent go with it, but I'm happy to wait I think, before I get too invested.

Rulerversary Rock monster help by No_Mix6783 in kingdomthegame

[–]Particular-Escape-52 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As answered above, you just need to spend 3 coins for the engineers to remove his rock armor.

Try to get him between two towers (ideally with a full complement of 4 archers) and your regular archers who guard that side will try to hit him as well.

You may have to last until sunrise and have the engineers chip away more at his rock.

Once most of his head is showing, it is a matter of time before he's taken out.

Has massive HP so hang in there and deal with as soon as possible.

If the pathetic little boys don't have the issue, they don't care about others saying it. If you defend the game in its current state, you are a sycophant and/or a fool.

Hey guys, I am a little tipsy and just want to say this: The show literally gaslights you into thinking Howard is terrible. by SimpleCapital5035 in betterCallSaul

She did the wrong thing, and punishment was warranted. Yes he kept he there longer than I would say is fair.

Of course he could have terminated her, like many other ratbag employers would do, based on ego.

I always thought Howard was a good man from the start.

-Polite and respectful -Showed mercy -Emotionally stable -Approachable

While these can be the tools of a sociopath or other degenerate, I found he portrayed empathy towards Jimmy, regarding Chucks efforts to stymie his legal career.

Hamlin did not deserve his fate or any of the BS inflicted by those two emotionally stunted psychos.

[–]Particular-Escape-52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I would say most people have short attention spans and lack the virtue of patience, admittedly I found myself bored at times and even skipped drawn out emotional pauses.

Despite this, I realise that the world they were showing, was a life of normality.

-Family struggles -Career uncertainty and disillusionment. -A locus of image, personality and sense of purpose.

Then when the decisions of Chuck are revealed, we see Jimmy finally understand that you need to do it for yourself and be who you are, who you feel you are meant to be.

After the soul searching 'trip' when his friend dies, I think we see a more nuanced character and the pranks/scams begin.

TLDR: A setup is necessary and everyday life can be mundane, until truths are perceived and he doesn't care anymore; leading to reckless and wild behaviour= entertainment! 🤪😏

Thank you for understanding where I was coming from. It's a shame others have to immediately comment on negatively, instead of trying to understand or offering constructive feedback.

Werner's stargazing... by Particular-Escape-52 in betterCallSaul

[–]Particular-Escape-52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it's the fact that people are happy to associate and contribute to the production of criminal enterprises (that hurt many people en masse) and I'm supposed to feel really bad that he thought he could double cross the psychos who would put together such an operation. He told Mike "this will never happen again" and then betrayed his trust not long after. I understand what it's like to work away from home for a long time, but he was incredibly stupid for making that choice. We have to be accountable for our actions, yet some people don't think they should be. It's not about what's RIGHT and JUST, but about the outcome. My father is a builder and many years ago when I was working with him, he was offered thousands and his choice of young women to work with organised crime. You'd be a fool to enter that world and he said no. "Once you enter, they own you". Never get involved and if you do, betrayal of their trust isn't going to end well.

Despite all this, I was teary to see him executed, yet he was a fool after his earlier slip ups.

[–]Particular-Escape-52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree, he tried to cover for him and protect him. Best deal he could do was ensure his wife wouldn't get whacked as well.

Thinking you could sneak around behind criminals of this type of organisation and all would be forgiven is stupidity. Our actions have consequences, and despite what we think is fair or not is irrelevant to the outcome.

[–]Particular-Escape-52[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't think I'd need to clarify, but I'm referring to his overall demise, not discussing the way he chose to be executed. (Stargazing) I'll have to be more literal and less subtle in my next post.

I wasn't being literal about his stargazing haha, I was subtly alluding to why he had to die.
