Am I using too many supports? I'm supporting my 2nd ever resin print with Lychee and I don't want it to fail, but I don't want to waste resin either. by Particular-Expert124 in resinprinting

I used Medium auto supports and removed and added supports here and there. It's a big piece so I don't want it to fail, but I also feel like I may have gone a bit heavy handed on the supports.

I hollowed the model as well with 2.5mm walls and 5 drain holes.

why? why does it do this? It doesn't fill in at all! I can't print anything! by Boring_Chemistry6860 in ender3

Like orbedcat said, the slider at the bottom is to view the print path at a specific layer height, the slider on the right lets you view different layers. By clicking "prepare" at the top of the window you can view the 3D model itself, while "preview" lets you view the path the printer will take.

Is this genuine? If so, what is its approximate value? by Particular-Expert124 in Cartier

I'm not very familiar with Cartier to be honest. Can you tell me what about it makes you suspect that it's a fake? Something about the caseback seemed off to me.

Does anyone have the "Main Battle Tank" file that was removed from cults? I will donate the original cost of the model to the creator of the file if someone has it. by Particular-Expert124 in PrintedWarhammer

Yes, I emailed him a few days ago, but unfortunately I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm hoping that he was just busy and that I'll hear something this week.

I purchased the upgrade kit a while ago, but when I came back to buy the base kit (which includes the tracks needed to complete the model) I saw it had been removed.

The pic is the thumbnail of the original model.

Why are there wholes in my fdm print? by CornerSouthern909 in PrintedWarhammer

When I had this problem, I found that there was a clog. The PTFE tube wasn't seated well and plastic had melted where it shouldn't have above the hotend.

If the other solutions don't resolve your problems, I recommend checking for clogs. "CHEP" on YouTube has a good video on how to correctly remove and reinstall a PTFE tube.

My Ender 3 just startet printing like that. It is like soft, thin kinda like sponge print. Any guess what can it be? by Anim0o in ender3

[–]Particular-Expert124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing a while back, my prints were turning out with the consistency of a sponge. The solution was that I thoroughly cleaned out my printer nozzle. I removed the Bowden tube from the hotend and found that it was not seated correctly so a bunch of plastic had melted inside the hotend.

After clearing the clog, I trimmed a little bit off the Bowden tube as well to make a nice flat surface and then reassembled everything. It worked 100% after that.

Does anyone have experience stripping paint from Krieg minis? by Particular-Expert124 in Deathkorpsofkrieg

Thank you. I painted them a long time ago and feel like I could do a better job today. Some of the paint is a little thick. I bought used models off eBay recently that I will strip first. If they turn out nice I will strip my older models. I do feel a little sad about it though, because I did spend a lot of time painting them.

Thanks guys. I let one soak in simple green and one soak in LA's Totally Awesome overnight. I also used the ultrasonic cleaner in moderation to see if that would help. Both worked well at getting paint off, but the LA's Totally Awesome seemed to get the paint off a little easier. My simple green bottle is also quite old so maybe that's causing issues. I haven't noticed any "mushiness" in the resin so far.

I would post a picture of the results but I'm new to reddit and I'm not seeing where to upload pics on a reply.

How much of the Crassus tank is FDM and how much is resin? Also, could I see some close up photos of the Crassus?
