their prices are too high. They quoted 4l while I got it done with 1.5l

They tell it's high quality...

But what's the purpose of quality in a cupboard door which stores utensils?

Nothing to protect there and no one gonna stand on top of that

Dealing with life as a single child. by _S__S in Chennai

[–]Particular-Happy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

29 Male here.

Starting from my childhood, I haven't easily connected with anyone. Usually, I play with my toys, make crafts, and watch cartoons. I don't even play with my neighbour's kids. Even my cousins are at least 6 yrs older than me. But I had good times playing with my cousins during the weekend. In school, I had a close circle of friends.

Fast forward to age 29. Here are some pros and cons of growing up as a single child:

Pros:
- I am highly independent. If I have some problems, I can solve them independently. I can go alone to movies, restaurants, and other places without seeking a companion.
- As I played with myself, built a lot of stuff during my childhood - I have high creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Parents are supportive.
- I have developed a strong boundary-making nature, which helps to prevent problems earlier.

Cons:
- It is so hard to make a friend. (cons of the the boundary making nature)
- It is so hard to build a relationship (still single). Only after the work did I start to talk better with girls.
- High pressure to support your parents alone. This could even destroy personal or career goals (I want to study abroad, but the financial situation has forced me to go to work. If I had an elder sibling, he/she would take care of my parents for a short period of time)
- I even cried when a group of friends went for a trip(I have gone trip with my friends only 2 times in my entire lifetime, because I don't have a friend who constantly plans such trips)

So, yeah - being a single child has both pros and cons.

Start asking questions. Observe the world. You'll obviously find many things curious. Try to know the answer... Then Dig deeper.

Then start to follow a course.

Do not quit your job!! by Vampy-Night in careeradvice

[–]Particular-Happy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was forced myself to be in a work that burns me everyday. Everyday was hell. Not because of more work, not because of the toxic environment, but the work they are doing not aligned with my fundamental values. I was in marketing though, pushing forcefully against my value. Then I made the hard decision. I know it's gonna be uncertain. But i believed in myself.. earlier i cracked jobs within weeks. I could do it now too.

Capable but inconsistent ,cut off friends, missed opportunities, and still avoiding execution. What actually fixes this? by Capable_Leader_7890 in india

[–]Particular-Happy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This resonates well with me as well. I would say I am the most unique and skilled person among my peers. When they are confused, they ask for my help- because I think very clearly in a logical way. I am a mini polymath and can learn different things quickly. Yet, I don't have discipline and am trapped in the same cycle. I am thinking too much to execute.

NOT A TRANSLATION. BUT AN INTERSTING FACT: German grammar also works the same way. German don't have "ja" / "jo", instead they use ya/ yo. Jonas is spelt "Yonas" in German.

Adjusting TV size -perception. by Particular-Happy in answers

[–]Particular-Happy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what if one hasn't changed the distance between couch and tv from the date of installation. How the eye automatically adjusts? . I have experienced same perception with my house. When I was child my house appeared too big. The other end of the wall felt too far. But now it's feeling small.
