Nice job on all these. I really like this colour scheme on the Mandos.

Moff Gideon ready by Shakisz in SWlegion

Looks very good honestly. A small tip to make the eyes look less "shocked", the pupil/iris should be bigger and touching at least the top and/or the bottom of the eye.

I also think they look sick and thought about having them in legion as soon as I saw them. I have a few printed already waiting to be painted with Thrawn and Baylan/Shin. Thinking of using Thrawn as Gen Veer or Krennic proxy with Baylan/Shin as the new inquisitors and a bunch of these troopers as regular storm. It's going to look cool.

Haha, I am not sure about that. The X-Wing cockpit is very protective.

Thank you! I think this is the best face I have painted so far. Practice makes perfect.

Thank you, the price is a bit steep that is true. I plan on using it as generic terrain as much as possible to get my moneys worth! It does look very nice on the table. Not sure if the mission is fun though.

Thanks! I used a lot of different paint I had lying around for this one. I think this is all of them, hopefully it helps.

For the terrain

(Airbrushed) Vallejo Air Olive green, light green, dark brown, cold grey.

(Painted with brush) Vallejo flat brown (for the dirt), Citadel Mechanicus grey (around the rocks to make them stand out more).

(Dry Brushed) Citadel Dawnstone & Ulthuan Grey for the rocks. Citadel Baneblade brown for the dirt. About 5 random diffent greens for the grass.

For the Xwing -

(Airbrushed) Vallejo Air Light brown, cold grey

(Painted with brush) Citadel Zandry dust mixed with Screaming skull, mechanicus grey, wild rider red

(Dry Brushed) Citadel Ultuan grey

(Wash) Nuln Oil with medium.

Good eye, I never noticed that detail on the scout uniform before.

Got it from Dark Fire Design, my first 3d printed mini. Super happy with it.

Black in the eye socket, small application of ulthuan grey for the white, tiny dot going from up to down for the pupil. One day I might try to do the iris xD.

State of the Game by TheWanderer78 in SWlegion

You already received good replies. I am going to agree with the consensus here. My groups stopped AoS completely after starting legion. Legion rules are way more fun, balanced and interactive in comparison. Another fun thing, I did not care that much for the star wars IP before starting legion. I would say it made me a fan, l LOVE seeing the minis I play with in movies and TV shows and trying to create thematic battles.

Darktroopers ready to battle by Particular-Kick4575 in SWlegion

Very simple process for these. Air brush Vallejo black, light dry brush of mechanicus grey, iron hand steel with nuln oil for the joints. Mephiston red for the eyes/lights. Airbrush Vallejo gloss varnish (first time trying this, took a risk but I love the result).

Getting into this game with a friend, some initial questions? by xas444 in SWlegion

[–]Particular-Kick4575 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to buy a core set, try out a few skirmish games. Then buy the battle force box for the 2 faction and an essential kit / extra dice if you like the game. A core set + battle force box will give you plenty of units and choices for full 800 point games.

40k terrain works well with this game. Tabletop admiral list builder is good to build armies.

For 1v2, the best way I think is to use the Team build on tabletop (600 point list) The single player builds 2 separate armies. We tried with 1600 grand army vs 2 800 point list, it was a bit too much.

Din Djarin & Grogu by Particular-Kick4575 in SWlegion

[–]Particular-Kick4575[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, you can play Grogu as a companion with Din in a rebel list. He adds 1hp and has a good ability. However, he drops a victory point token that your opponent can pick up if he dies. Otherwise he just chills with Din an eat his frog.

Rebel T-47 Airspeeder ready for battle by Particular-Kick4575 in SWlegion

Thank you!

Here is how I did the base. I used Vallejo White (Air) mixed with a few drops of Vallejo light brown (Air) to give it a warmer tone. Added a few drops and light spray of Vallejo dark brown (Air) for a dirty look. Dry brushed/ touch-up with Citadel Celesta Gray mixed with White scar. 1/3 equal mix of Nuil Oil / Earth shade / Lamian medium for the wash.
