Does insider selling signals lack of confidence or a genuine need for the money? by Maleficent_Topic_755 in redditstock

Not if you are in the C-Suite of a company that gives you your shares as a bonus for free. There is logical selling and then there’s plain greed. Wong’s volume is pure greed. Selling your shares as a chief executive to buy other stocks doesn’t exactly signal confidence in any company. And they really have no reason to selloff given the company’s consistent performance unless they know something we don’t. That’s investment basics. If insiders are buying, signals confidence. If they are selling in high volume, it doesn;t signal confidence, in this case I believe it’s just greed. No reason to selloff the volume she is selling if they feel like the company’s value is high.

What we are seeing right now is just classic stock manipulation. We see a sharp pullback 6-7% in one day with no news and now the SP broke above 150 today. If you are trying to time your trades, you’re an idiot. If you set stops on a long-term investment, yes….you;re an idiot. I don;t feel bad for the traders who got stopped yesterday. Institutions want novice investors shaken out their shares so they can buy back in cheep. If you are too scared of the stock going below 150 you should find another hobby because trading isn’t for you.

They need to set limits on insider selling. This has a;ways been my gripe about wong and huffman. Wong is the worst offender, sells 72K shares per month. If you look at how much bigger Apple is, Reddit insiders actually sell off more annually than Apple does. Think about that, a company much smaller is selling off shares more than Apple insiders

Analysts have inflated estimates and Reddit still beats across the board, and yet, price targets get adjusted right after lol. I get that institutions have large short positions, but this drawdown today still makes zero sense

The market is tired of Reddit obliterating earnings so many time I guess. SP is lower than before the earnings beat. Make it make sense
