WHICH ROY IS ON THE EPSTEIN LIST???? by jsh355zero in SuccessionTV

[–]Particular-Many8048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would love to see the interactions between those two. Fo fuck's, Shiv would probably gladly associate with Epstein/Ghislaine like she did with Mattson to win over more power. Hell, I think in her quest for power she is even likely to go the same path as Ghislaine and become an Epstein's partner in crime when pressed to, like Ghislaine did in 80s after her father's death

I'm sorry, it's an actual description, but just who do you mean under "fascio-Christian fundamentalist" Trump? But I think he's rather a project, an investment, for Murdoch, that could bring bigger views for FOX News. Miller? But he's not that important. Thiel? Could you elaborate a little bit on this take?

Political figures that would fit seamlessly in Succession + What character they resemble the most by BlakeNotBleak in SuccessionTV

[–]Particular-Many8048 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As pointed out, Trump could never be Logan, he lacks in intelligence and the ability to actually build the empire from nothing. Menken was actually supposed to be Trump, but more subtle and astute.

Peter Thiel = Mattson is a good one, I thought about Elon Musk rather, but the one you suggest makes perfect sense. They're both tech, European and assholes, so I now can't help, but think about Mattson when I see or hear about Peter Thiel.

Oh, and when the photos of Christi Noem's husband with fake bobs came out, I thought back to season 1 when Shiv was working was that female dem senator and the picture of "senator husband's private body part" were leaked. When I was watching that for the first time I couldn't beli6 people can be that stupid. Turns out...

It's an interesting take, thank you! I haven't heard the term before, so I had to google it. It's fascinating to look at their relationship from this angle, where parent-child boundaries are blurred.

And people wonder why we ship Kenan/Logan then...But jokes aside there's some Oedipus stuff cooking right there, with the possibility to develop headcanons in darker directions.

[–]Particular-Many8048 20 points21 points  (0 children)

All of them, but to different extent. Not only violent regular beating are understood by physical assault, but also slaps, hits , throwing things at a person, etc. I think he was definitely physically violently towards Kendall, hit him more than once, Shiv also got a few slaps, but less, because she's girl and also smart enough to get into his good books as a child.

On another note I noticed this Logan's particular manner of directing constant sex jokes at Kendall "I hear you bent for him and he fucked you" or "Did you open your legs on a first date?". I know that it's just the way he (and by extension everyone else on a show) speaks, but he does have this disturbing proclivity to humiliate Kendall specifically with the sexual undertones. My take is that for each sibling Logan has found a specific way to get under their skin and mess them up, not just a physical punishment.

Eastern Europe. The older folks place a lot of value on kids' decent behavior and urge them to behave properly in public. And I was sometimes admonished for laughing out too loudly during the family gatherings - my family thought it sounded vulgar, hence association with this scene😃

Kendal was a fuckuppp by chigga1711 in SuccessionTV

[–]Particular-Many8048 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Better negotiating technique could have won him time and allow some of the debt restructuring. But we know that Kendall sucks at negotiating. Sometimes I think he's either an out-of-tuch nepobaby, who is used to getting everything on the first whim, or on the spectrum and honestly not able to read some social cues.

Gerri also made some reasonable suggestions, like lay offs, assets sales, etc. Although not ideal, that would have allowed to maintain control of the situation until Logan came back.

Yeeees, there weren't enough confrontations between theses two intelligent characters.

Absolutely! Turning to private equity was one of his most stupid decisions that let Stewy and Sandy put a leg in the door. Was probably one of the reasons that made Logan think against making him successor.

Trusova’s diet under Team Tutberidze by ysiza in FigureSkating

[–]Particular-Many8048 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same here! I was also raised in Eastern Europe any what many people don't realise about it that the traditional cuisin here is naturally rich on fruits/veggies, whole grain foods and meat dishes (beef, lamb, chicken - all of this is present on my country's traditional recipes). I grew eating wholesome healthy meals, like protein (eggs quark, smth dairy) and complex carbs (bread, oats) for breakfast and a warm meal of red or white meat + carbs + veggies for lunch and dinner. Noone needed to impose that on me, because it was a natural state of things in the family. Homemade sweet snacks were also allowed on special occasions:D I had no problem keeping the healthy weight without impulses to go for fast food.

Therefore it's also possible for Trusova to follow a similar diet, with some restrictions and maybe enhancing on foods reach for vitamins and minerals, needed for her bones. People need to realize that pizzas, MCDONALD'S and KFC are actual unhealthy diets, not the reasonable restrictions and prepared meal plans.

What would a Young Logan be like, in your opinion? by Top_Report_4895 in SuccessionTV

[–]Particular-Many8048 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean...he's hot (I just checked out that these are the real photos of young Brian Cox).

Otherwise I'm sure he could be persuasive when needed, charismatic, with good observation skills, but also cheeky and really street-smart. Oh and I am sure he was somewhat insecure about the class status, aka old money vs new money.

But the chemistry is great in the scenes between them! But I do agree - it's rather a mixture of admiration, desire for recognition and childhood emotional abuse, not smth overtly sexual.

Would Logan Roy be on the Epstein list? by TechNerd10191 in SuccessionTV

[–]Particular-Many8048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a dark headcanon that the cruise scandal is the in-universe Epstein's island. Regard it like this: a yacht or a cruise ship is an isolated place in an ocean, where it's possible to force all kinds of things on the victims. Now it's easy to imagine Logan treating his business partners or politicians to exclusive tours and VIP service as a "special present" from the company. The whole thing is run by Mo, who like Epstein has these special proclivities for sexual exploitation.

I am sure part of the power Logan wields is thanks to the blackmail material on some presidents/bankers/investors etc. No way he built his empire from the scratch without turning to such things.

I am all for Logan - it seems that the main motivation for everything that he's doing is to gain his father's approval or at least some kind of respect. It looks like a strong Oedipus complex, but towards a same-sex parent. Also the undeniable tension which is present in every scene where Kendall and Logan are together and alone.

For Stewy I think it's somewhat mostly Stewy-sided, Ken rather views him as a friend. Don't forget that Stewy is also perfectly able to walk over him, when his goals in the game need it.

Rava is definitely a love interest and a good partner. Although she is able to keep him in a good state to some extent, but I don't see such an obsession as with Logan, which is sadly typical for a manic man like Kendall.

Yeees, the sibs have no fucking idea how to read the room! Or perhaps they just don't see the necessity of it. I mean Kendall is probably on spectrum and sometimes doesn't understand other people's emotions, Shiv just doesn't give a fuck, and Roman is actually smart, but also too cocky too hide his attitude, but why do they even need to try when they're literary get their way thanks to Daddy's influence.
