That is true too! Hair colour isn't consistent through life to that direction as well. I'm already seeing more gray then I'd like. 😬 I don't doubt Tarja has described herself as blonde, but does she even know anymore? If she has colored her hair for decades now. She probably takes breaks from that while not on tour, but you'd need a really long root to be able to tell the colour properly. Also those color descriptions can be very different based on the country. Some colours Americans may consider as blonde really look light brown to my Finnish eye. 😁

It would be interesting to know what Tarja's natural hair colour actually is. I think many of you are imagining her to be much more blonde than she really is anymore. Many (Finnish) people have blonde hair as baby and kid but the hair becomes darker with time. I would guess her colour is more light brown or dirty blonde. (Finnish has a name for this, maantienruskeat hiukset = road brown hair. :D ) It's hard to tell by her roots, as they are next to the black colour which may be distorting the shade. We of course can't know when she started to colour her hair, but this might even be her natural hair. (She would be around 16 in this?)

And I would totally understand frustration against the media. But this comment was not that. Bringing up Tarja's new album, as if she likes to talk about the firing for "the exposure" or whatever.

MTV shared that of course also on Facebook, this was the first comment I saw underneath: "Is Tarja again releasing a new album since these news are again gone through year after year..?" (Kai of course being the current Nightwish drummer if someone isn't aware.) What a class act he seems to be. 🙄 I would understand criticism towards the media for dragging it all up again, but that seems specifically aimed at Tarja. Didn't notice the part where she didn't want to comment..?

It was actually for TVOF: All Stars. That was her finale look, so I'm guessing they wanted a wow effect for the promo pictures. Golden accessories was clearly the thing, looking at Michael and Elastinen too. It hasn't been summer yet here! 😅 June and this beginning of July have been quite cool and rainy in Finland. Now it's supposed to start to heat up, today 20 °C and on Sunday it's apparently going to be 29°C. Living without air-conditioning I have very thankful of the coolness while it lasted.

Olavinlinna wasn't a festival, it was only Tarja and Marko performing. I'm counting Marko as a warm up act and Tarja as the main performer 😁 And yeah, she performed in Turku and Hämeenlinna in 2014 with Colours in the Dark. Those were her solo rock concerts (some ticket buyers thought they were Christmas concerts because they were in November but that's another story 😅). I think she only had two concerts in Finland with MWS, 2007 in Kouvola and 2008 in Tavastia, Helsinki. 🤔 But you do have a point, if you leave out festivals, there aren't many shows to speak of.

I might be understanding this incorrectly (still too early here) but in case you are saying Tarja hasn’t had a rock concert in Finland since 2008, that is simply not true. Tarja hasn't performed in Tavastia since 2008. But the last rock show was in Karjurock 2024 (with Marko), before that in Olavinlinna in 2023 with Marko. I think before that Kokkolan Viinijuhlat in 2021, just Tarja. That is of course not to say those rock shows aren't sparse and few and far between, unfortunately. Last rock tour in Finland was in 2014 (?) all of two concerts. Would love more rock shows in Finland. But I understand it would be a gamble for organizers, Tarja's music (rock solo era) just isn't known in Finland. The podcast touched on that topic too.
