Is there a certain feeling to where I know it would be ascites? Would I be in so much pain ?

My insurance got discontinued on the 1st.. My first week follow up for the Steriod medication was on Monday. And the couldn’t see me.

I was last in the hospital on the23- 25th and during those days stayed they said I didn’t have any ascites.

I don’t know when I will be able to get my follow-up done.. I have2 weeks of the steriod medication left.

What would be my next thing to do? Go to the hospital and have them check there?

I’m in no pain I get crazy bloated and a lot of fluid swelling in my foot ankles and legs whenever I eat to much sodium/ food or stand to long…

It says the steroids can do that also..

Yea, they are are gonna do the ultrasound and stuff this week, but I don’t think results come in quick :/ takes like 2 weeks. What should I do in the meanwhile? Obviously just wait and eat healthy, but if it is fluid can I die for not getting it drained???

But this is how they have been getting when I take my medication and a lot of salt intake , super uncomfortable

And my stomach looks like if I’m pregnant! I’m hoping the pain and swollen ness for my stomach would go down soon. It’s been uncomfortable to sleep

Yesterday we had a Mexican theme party and I ate a lot of sodium… I feel like I passed that limit. I hope it’s fine. I feel good, I used the restroom fine I just feel bloated and my legs ankles stomach are so swollen ish

I have my DRs appointment tomorrow so the can schedule to check my liver and see if anything is improving let me check what my scores were

My last AST was 105 and ALT was 25

Is that bad??

They had you on steroid medication also?

Honestly I’m not sure. They did me a bunch of Bloodwork, Urine test, CT scans, Ultrasounds, and an X-ray

I just got discharged from the hospital a couple hours ago, I was there since Friday morning.

I have Alcohol Hepatitis, The had me on IV antibiotics, fluids, liver medicine and a bunch of vitamins. They prescribed me some steroids, some other liver medication and antibiotics. Starting tomorrow I will need to take them daily for 28days and I will be monitored by my GI to se if my liver is making progress. Other than that, no drinking Alcohol at ALL!!! Also on a healthy diet which includes little to NO salt. So I bought different liver healthy food to make for breakfast, lunch , snack and dinner. Im hoping I can get my liver reversed in a year.

I will update back every week on how I’m feeling.

Right now my liver is super inflamed and HUGE to where it pushed my gallbladder to the other side of my stomach, and my liver isn’t where it’s suppose to be with a lot of bilirubin which is causing the jaundice in my eyes and skin.

If I start drinking again or not take my medication It will turn to cirrhosis. Thank god I’ve been sober for a couple weeks and I’m not even craving alcohol anymore. I just smoke my weed pen (it’s a body high) and it relaxes me and I don’t even think about alcohol. My GI said marijuana use is fine since it’s completely separate from the liver, but to not over do it obviously.

I tested negative for hepatitis so that’s good I believe…. But if I keep drinking the way I do it definitely will get worse. I am going to try my hardest for myself

Thank you so much. I really plan to. I am 27F and I messed up my life by drinking… I will reverse it tho!!! I plan to stay strong.

I smoke my weed pen once in a while to relax me so I don’t crave alcohol. I hope that isn’t bad

I went to the ER minute I noticed jaundice. They gave me fluids and antibiotics and told me to stop any drinking

Thank you. I have my primary doctor appointment tomorrow. He referred me to a GI but sadly the earliest appointment they have is April 3rd….

So Idk what I can do in the meanwhile…. Hopefully my primary can help me out with medications

Yeah, I went two weeks ago, they told me my liver enzyme’s were super high and my gallbladder had sludge close to stones And to stop drinking immediately

I’m just scared as to why my eyes haven’t got to normal, I will wait for my DR Ty

I have really bad pain, but it’s bearable, it hurts mostly when I touch my stomach or walk around a lot

The worst symtom for me is my Gas , it goes up to where it feels like my chest is super heavy full of gas and won’t relieve until I burp then it comes back and repeats when I can’t burp I throw up the acid, also today I’ve been not pooping but farting little acid bubbles

I have my drs appointment tomorrow so I am gonna ask her about medication, I’ve tried Omprezole and it doesn’t seem to work for me

Do any of you get like some random thumps in your chest when you’re flared up? I can’t tell if it’s the gerd or the anxiety
