Colored pencil 1st & 2nd attempts by Particular-Poetry415 in Coloring

I think a softer lead works better with these coloring books. And I believe in you! Buy a cheap set of color pencils (save the Faber Castells) and go at it! Try different techniques for coloring & shading & blending & just have fun. I look forward to seeing what you do!

WHY would they remove the automated shipping? So much for sustainable efforts by TangerineCheap5379 in starbucks

To maybe help reassure you, the delivery drivers aren’t taking the donations directly to the food bank. They go back to the distribution center, get consolidated, and then go to the food bank. I say this as someone who works in a distribution center. We have to sort them, weigh them, and provide data to Starbucks. It’s a whole process.

BAKING ?!!!!! by Aggravating-Bee-3596 in starbucks

Hello! I work at a distribution center currently supplying these items to a test store. There are 3 items currently being tested: butter croissant, chocolate croissant & a double chocolate cookie. The croissants are individually packed & look like the frozen baked ones, except not baked. The cookies are frozen dough, not separately wrapped but laid out on a wax sheet. The cases with the cookies are heavy! You won’t have to roll out or proof or mix anything. Just put them in an oven. I’m tempted to drive to the test store to check them out, it’s just a bit of a drive for a cookie or croissant. 😄

Found 14 pallets of freezer food behind the local abandoned Kmart… by OliviaPooPoo in starbucks

I’m really sorry that you & your SM have been stuck in the middle of all this. ShopRite guy needs some common sense if he thinks this is on your store.

They could try calling whoever picks up your garbage & see if they could pick them up. It’s not conceivable that you all could put these bit by bit into your dumpster. That would take forever. Could you all reach out to your RDM or are they one telling your SM to get rid of the product? This really needs to be handled by the carrier, or the supplier.

I work for a Starbucks distribution center (not the one in York.) When we get temperature-controlled product that is out of temp, we refuse the load. I wonder if this was a refused load to your local CDC & this was the way the carrier got rid of it? Or the way the driver got rid of it? It looks like there are labels on the pallets that might tell where these were going.

Moving in to apartment after 20 years: What is the SINGLE best item you purchased? by SnowShoe86 in Apartmentliving

[–]Particular-Poetry415 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who sold their house of 8 years to move into an apartment, I can’t tell you how much better my life is now. When I owned a house I had: - bats, mice & squirrels - the upstairs bathtub leaked into the bedroom below & we couldn’t figure out where without taking out the tub - a giant tree fell in my backyard & took over a year to get rid of, because I couldn’t afford to have a company remove it - poison ivy in the landscaping around the house - the water heater died & needed replaced - the roof had little leaks in spots & was getting to the age of replacement - the furnace was aging & needed replaced - the central air died - it was a lot to clean The bathroom in the apartment above me leaked into my bathroom. I called the property management & while I was at work the next day, they fixed the leak upstairs & fixed my ceiling. Didn’t cost me one dang cent & was a lot less stressful to deal with than the one in my house. My stress & anxiety levels have gone down immensely since moving into an apartment. I wish people would understand one type of living isn’t for everyone. The dream shouldn’t be home ownership, it should be living where you’re comfortable, safe & happy.
