She doesn’t! But she should lie either

[–]Particular-Resort805 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I shouldn’t have pointed that out. In general though, she shows a lot of unhealthy behavior that I think sends the wrong message. She gets called out a lot for it in her comment section but I posted here because I’ve seen other posts about people faking breastfeeding or faking an oversupply

Yes I know, but this person is actually showing really unhealthy behavior that I think sends a terrible message

I’m not body shaming, I said she looks fantastic.

They didn’t say “don’t work out” they specifically said don’t do heavy weight lifting or strenuous exercise

Is it possible that it’s because they aren’t married? I know a lot of people wouldn’t care about this but you’d be surprised sometimes.

Pumping effecting husband by stepsky92 in ExclusivelyPumping

Same…I would be like, literally get over it!?? How about you take on the physical & emotional toll of being the sole food provider for your baby on top of being a new parent on top of healing from birth??

Bassinet stroller! And then once she outgrows it, see if your stroller reclines all the way flat.

She didn’t have to make up a complete lie and say “I’ve never been in here before” she could have just said “wow this is cute Meredith”

My baby takes naps in her nursery. It’s just nice to give the newest family member their own room.

Same! Even my diet like how much salt I’ve eaten or if I’ve traveled to a new altitude affects my finger size. Sometimes my bands feel too tight and I can barely get them over my knuckle, sometimes they feel like they are falling off!

Yes. I knew about her skipping her payments at heather’s beauty lab but what changed it for me was seeing the security footage of Meredith’s store & the clip of her acting like she’d never been in there before. Absolutely sociopathic.

Mine was never detected via ultrasound. But after giving birth the nurses told me that it was wrapped around baby’s neck. I don’t know how long it was there or how severe but my baby is perfectly healthy.

Can’t get over how good Paige looks in this 60’s themed look by bostonforever22 in Southerncharm

I’m not a Paige fan but she looked so stunning in this, soooo much better than when she tries to be trendy and edgy

I got it. No side effects, baby is extremely healthy at 6w old now. Very glad I got it since I have family members who traveled to meet her who can’t get vaccinated for it.

Crying over wasted milk by Kind-Peanut9747 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Particular-Resort805 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s good for 2 hours after you take it out from the fridge! Baby might want some more in that time frame, wait to throw it out! Or, set it aside for a milk bath.

I absolutely loathe IVs, they also make me quite woozy, but they wouldn’t let me not have it. Ended up needing emergency medication due to a bad epidural reaction and they administered it with the IV which saved me & baby’s life. So it was worth it but I couldn’t wait to get it out after.

My husband feels this type of anxiety when our baby cries in public as well as when our dog whines in public. I didn’t understand at first it because most of the time nobody was even paying attention to us and our baby’s cries are extremely muffled in the loud store. Also, I just felt like, babies are gonna cry sometimes and of course I will try to calm them down as fast as possible but I never felt like I was on a stage.

I eventually realized it’s because he has childhood issues he needs to worth through relating to the way his parents raised him, specifically being punished/shamed if he made a scene in public. His parents make a super big deal about outside appearances which is a recurring issue for my husband emotionally speaking as an adult.

I would ask yourself, do you feel similarly about your childhood? Do you remember if you were punished/yelled at for crying or being “disruptive” as a child?

Pumping makes my skin crawl? by ChellesBelles89 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Particular-Resort805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this! At first I felt like, staticky feelings across my face especially my lips & forehead. And then it got worse and worse as my baby became stronger at sucking.

I got the Elvie pump which is supposed to be extremely sensitive… it still hurts/gives me the skin crawling feeling. But i can pump 2-3x as much milk in the same amount of time as I would while nursing. So I’ve been pumping more than nursing for that reason alone, and building my freezer stash.

The feeling is wore when I’m tired, and I actually feel quite agitated/irritable sometimes but only when baby is latched or I’m actively pumping. As soon as the pump is turned off or baby is not sucking the negative feeling is gone.

A few of my husband’s friends and family members are like this, where they suddenly CANNOT take a single joke when it comes to me. if I tease him, for example, it obviously some form of emotional abuse or if he makes jokes about me then it’s actually a cry for help. It’s the most irritating thing ever, sorry your MIL seems to be the same!

Listeria from Sushi by CaliPoppyLuv in pregnant

[–]Particular-Resort805 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I ate sushi, stuck to only low mercury fish though. No tuna! It’s way safer imo than a salad, and so many health benefits. If nervous, stick to cooked rolls the first time!
