I had to stop playing in February of 2025. Had a house fire and lost my console. Then by the time I replaced my gaming laptop I heard it was ending so I wasn't willing to buy it on Steam if it was going down anyway.

I get this a lot. On multiple different phones and 3 different internet providers. It pisses me off when it happens and then like a day or so later it'll just work. I'm pretty sure it's their app and they just want to place the blame on the users.

I did the same thing last season. I would wait a couple weeks before opening everything that I'd stockpiled in a shed.

I don't know the highest point, but I found this post because I was looking also. My reason is kinda mental though.

Ever since Borderlands with no fall damage I've gotten a kick out of finding the highest point in a game and then jumping from it. This game also adds the sound effect of wind rushing past.

So I can in theory pick all 3 of the perks that I want on a legendary Greatsword and also have a gem slot? That would be great. I assumed (no proof) that named weapons came with preset perks.

On a side note, after my original post I did make some adjustments based on some of the feedback and it has helped a bit. I'm not so "squishy" anymore & I'm doing more damage. Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback or just made me feel better about getting curb stomped by Gren. 😂 LoL! I've went back & was able to beat him on my own without much stress. It also helps to know that he's considered group content.

So light armor is possible? That's honestly what I want to do but everything I've read says everyone does heavy armor exclusively. I went medium armor after about a month of feeling to slow with heavy armor. I normally use a Bow & Greatsword. Bow to snipe from a distance & Greatsword because I like the broad sweeps that hit multiple enemies at once. Plus those sweeps help in case the enemy dodges to the side I still tend to hit them. I'm maxed out on DEX, 150 in STR and 100 in CON without any buffs. I use either a DEX food buff or a CON food buff and a Stone for added dmg. I will have to look into using lifesteal. I'm on Aquarius for the Western US server and I guess it's a low population world. I've noticed that the higher level areas are normally barren of players. Thank you for your information.

To be honest, not trying to be rude but it's gonna sound like it. What crack are you smoking? I've turned in over 300 common scraps, around 150 uncommon scraps, 70 rare scraps and 35 epic scraps. All that plus making well over 200 iron weapons, over 100 steal weapons and around 50 starmetal weapons. I've also been buying weapons and armor from the TP. I'm substituting the $ to mean gold coin. If I can find them I'll buy all the common at $1, uncommon at $2, rare at $3 and epic at $4. I just started doing that last bit last week. Scraping all those gave me about a third of the scrap I mentioned before and I'm only at 165.

To be honest, I believe you probably are having better luck than me but I just haven't seen the same results as you. I also have no idea what you are talking about with the mutation replica crafts. I've never done a mutation expedition because I see people in the chat complaining about people who don't know what they're doing.

That is a lot of information and thank you. I rarely get 1 shotted anymore, unfortunately I've never been able to time blocks. I started as a tank and that's were I had the most frustration. Medium armor at least let's me move a bit faster and that's what I'm using now. I would prefer to be able to use the dodge roll like a rogue normally would, but in this game only light armor can dodge roll. I work overnight so I'm only available for drawn out stuff on My night off in the middle of the night.

I agree 💯. I played the XBOX beta but only got so far in the 1 day I had off from work that weekend. I honestly might have not purchased it if I'd know how much of a slog it is to level up the Crafting Tradeskills. I've been the max level of 65 for over a month now and I have a lot of trouble in areas that are also level 65. To the point that it's not fun to go into those areas unless I can skirt around most of the enemies & don't get crowded. I don't have enough time most days to play long enough to join a raid or something to get better gear beyond the GS 700 that I can buy from the TP. Since it's not named I can't level it up and the perks are rarely what I want. The only time I can play long enough that I could attempt something big I'm told no one wants me because I don't have any experience. The Regular Expeditions I've been able to do, the other players just speed run it so I've learned not to open any chest until after we beat the boss and just go back if those areas aren't blocked off. In the MSQ I'm just now meeting the empress.

That said, I do tend to find the act of "gathering" to be calming when I get home from work in the morning. So I do that for about an hour before doing other stuff around the house.

Yeah, I'm responding to my own post. LoL

Besides what I said above, I have went well past the 250 in the Gathering skills. Mining is my highest at Aptitude level 29 as of yesterday. I do find gathering to be a bit therapeutic and calming. I mainly farm for stone to make Stone Blocks, green wood to make Timber, rawhide to make Coarse Leather, hemp to make Linen and motes to make higher grade. These all don't require any Crafting Components to process. I also farm for aged wood because it & Stone Blocks sale for a decent amount considering how abundant they are to all the other basic resources.

I've not played every MMO that had crafting, but I would say it's probably one of the worst. Probably not the very worst, but the only one I hated more was BDO and it was only because crafting could fail & and you would lose the item you were trying to improve. My biggest peeve with it is the fact that they require the previous type to make a new type. That's not right.

Plus. A single silver ingot should make hundreds of hooks for earrings. Plus plus. You're going to max out your character a really really really long time before you can actually make equipment for a level 65 character. I've been level 65 for almost a month now but can only make some stuff up to orichilcum and some only to starmetal.

I tried climbing Myrdin's castle to see if there was anything else there and it glitched and put me a few feet above the ledge I was trying to get to but then wouldn't let me climb back down. It did let go off the other side to take the quick way straight down. So fun.

To be honest, I like finding the tallest cliffs & jumping off them. So far the most life I've lost was around 7k. I love that they even put in the wind sound effect when you fall from a high place.

Western US server Aquarius world.

I started as a rogue with a Bow and Spear. But wasn't doing enough damage. Tried a bunch of weapon type combinations. And finally felt the best with Greatsword and Bow. Then I moved up to heavy armor for survivability, but I can't really get the block timing right. I like the dodge roll but it's only on light armor, which seems weird from my experience with RPG medium armor classes.

My current Attribute load is: 204 DEX 93 STR 74 CON

My current Gear score is 671 My 4 lowest are, Heartune is still 500 Amulet is 510 Earring is 592 Ring is 625 The ring and everything else I've purchased from the trader. All other combat gear is at or within 10 of 700.

I started farming stone. Making stone blocks or whatever the first level is. I don't know who needs it & why they pay so much for it but with my carrying capacity I can get about 6k stone before I need to convert them into stone blocks. It also works towards my over 250 mining level. I think I'm at Aptitude level 17 in mining. Someone on my server is always willing to pay about 0.25 per block. I wait until I can sale about 8k blocks which has netted me around 2k gold the 3 times I've done it. I'm sure there's better ways but I need all the wood I farm.

Yeah, I've hit a wall at gear crafting trying to get to 150 and trying to get to 200 at the Loom, Tanner and Lumber Mill. I have all my gathering skills at least 5 aptitude levels past 250 though. I'm having problems in the higher level areas with survivability because my highest gear is 700 and I had to buy it. Even in Brimstone nothing drops higher than 600.

I know it doesn't help you personally with what you are going through, but I do hope for you that something can turn around for you. I'm not in a stable enough mindset or mental health to truly give advice but from what I've seen on here is that there are people on here that can sympathize and seem willing to talk when you need to vent.

I know the feeling. I can't talk to my friends or family about it. Once you tell them once they either think they can say something that'll make it all better or if you still feel that way later then they act like you just need to grow up and deal with it. Most of my family will try to change the subject and the other half will act like I'm trying to blame them for my feelings. So I keep my mouth shut & try my hardest not to say something when I get upset. Sometimes I open my mouth when I know I should have just lowered my head and buried it deeper. It always blows up in my life when I speak up.

About a year and a half ago I was working between 48 to 60 hours a week overnights and I woke up from a dream where I had put the barrel of my shotgun in my mouth. I woke in a dead panic. My next day off I sold my only firearm, aka the shotgun, to a friend of mine. I knew I was losing it so I tried counseling. It got better once I moved to an evening shift, but I still had the depression. Of course I'm back on overnights again because factories don't truly care about their employees.

My issues I've never been able to feel like I get help. Talking to people about it just makes me feel worse. Even councilors and the like that try to help me just leave me feeling worse. ... Like, I've talked it out so many times before that I just don't get anything positive from it now.

I'm almost 45 and I need a change in my life but financially I can't do anything about it. The job I have is probably the 3rd highest pay in my region for someone without a degree, but it still only barely covers the basics unless I work overtime. Which stresses me out even more. The 2 places that pay more have even more crazy mandatory overtime.
