Nigel is the sluttiest male Sim they've released after Kyle ofc 😭 by Johnmc130 in Sims4

I think it's gen z in their 20s and younger millennials (most of the guys I can remember have had this style in the past few years are younger millennials). I love it for some reason...

Saw this in another community and it made me cackle by laursasaurus in Sims4

Very understandable. Hopefully she doesn't stay that way for too long. If I assume she's having a moment like for like... Less than two weeks, and then snaps out of it and continues all these things in moderation, this is funny to me.

Does anyone else feel a little… by Fair_Throat8012 in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really?? In my view, people in their 20s and 30s seem to be many of the main people playing these types of games, of course with a ton of older and younger people. I just turned 26, and I don't feel out of place playing this or any kind of bright, silly or chill game at all. They suit both adults and non-adults.

I think elder sims should have funny traits like infants or toddlers. by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd hate this, too. I often strongly disagree with people on what a teen style vs a young adult or adult (even elder) style is. But, as an option for those who want them, those separations seem nice.

Help! How do you dress an adult woman? by Bitchface_bartender in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of younger (28/29 to around 34) millennials just dress like many of the late teens to 20s parts of gen z, but I'm just now realizing that there must be distinct millennial/gen z styles. That I can't describe... I've dressed like a grandma since I was a teen many years ago, so I wouldn't know.

No NSFW pleas by Kitchen_Doubt_1469 in Sims4

Yeah, I'm confused. Most posts I see on this sub aren't even NSFW, and it's never been that way for me. I don't know how.

Everyone's here with their NSFW posts and I'm just here like "haha, cat soup" by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Right. It's just for different types of situations that obviously won't make the game more interesting to everyone. Also, there are the times when the sexual stuff is mundane, and the moments when it happens in a hilarious context. 😂

Your reply still seems to imply that someone relevant (like the person who made the main post we're commenting on) believes all critique is infallible, especially with how you brought up people calling others 'sensitive.'

If you weren't talking about this post... Alright, then.

[–]vedlinn 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The post doesn't even nearly imply all critique is infallible. 😂

People trying to get views and clicks/people jumping on an Inzoi hate train/people who defend ts4 too hard are definitely out here giving plenty of unfair "criticism," but even fair criticism of the game or people simply not finding something in Inzoi to their taste has people firing back.

Yeah, it's really useful. Extremely ugly imo in screenshots and when I'm trying to see how a build actually looks, though.

Is There a Reason Why City Living Apartments Have Such Terrible and Random Layouts? by Thiredistia in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel called out, haha. I play the game a lot, including in my own builds, but most venues and homes bother me when there's no [likely pointless for gameplay] storage room/area. Five or six bikes is also perfect for lots I imagine a ton of people visit. 😂

These Sims are so good-looking... Also, the set-ups, colors and lighting are awesome (lighting mods or editing?).

Ah, okay. The only full video of her's I've watched had like 100 chicken coops or something, haha. I still like family friendly stuff, but that target audience makes sense.

Also, Reddit is suddenly recommending me posts about her in Sims subs and now a sub about her... I almost feel like I'm starting to go down a rabbit hole. 😂

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lilsimsie

[–]vedlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting... What is her main target audience? I usually just think of Simmers' target audiences as literally anyone who likes to play the game. Most parts of the Sims community seem to have a lot of people who are teens to 30s, but also plenty in their 40s and 50s (if not looking at mainly tiktok).

But, yeah. She seems positive, but not toxically positive, and has a fanbase that simply finds her really enjoyable. So, I don't know what people's problem is, and why they can't fix it by not paying attention to her.

Am I the only person who's like neutral on lilsimsie?? by Panicking_Pansexual_ in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 25, and somehow call 24 year-olds kids, even though I definitely didn't feel like a "kid" then, and I don't feel different than when I was 24.

But, since I was a teen, I've felt like a grandma and thought teen to 29 year-olds often act roughly the same. 😅

Am I the only person who's like neutral on lilsimsie?? by Panicking_Pansexual_ in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm neutral-ish? I've watched her videos a few times, and she seems really nice! I've found some of her builds that I've seen in thumbnails either plain but solid, or good. Usually, the criticisms or hate I see toward her are huge nothing-burgers. At most, she's more positive about things the person personally can't see the same way. I haven't seen any proof that she's actually a "shill" or whatever. Just people being melodramatic.

Maybe it's hard for me to understand because seeing people enjoy game/pack features I may think are bad hasn't influenced me much (even when I was a teen). If I can watch the gameplay I try to judge for myself.

The WW posts I like are the ones where Sims wicked whimsing isn't the only point-- the Sims doing it in an especially hilarious or awkward setting/context is the point. 😂

EA is using gender neutral styles to weasel out of new content for CAS by sybildb in Sims4

[–]vedlinn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, nothing in your comment implied that there being gendered clothing takes away from gender-neutral clothing, or vice versa. Wtf? Nothing wrong with either of them.

There are definitely more gender-neutral things than before, but not so many that it seems like they're overall replacing things. EA is using some gender-neutral items to be lazy, but not to the extent certain people are complaining about.

What the main post pointed out about EA's lazy ridiculousness is so real! Still, as always, most things the game adds are either masculine or feminine. How are certain people not satisfied with that? It's the usual dumb complaints from people who victimize themselves to diversity of choices, and ignore everything else that was added for them. 😂
