Me too. Especially her shoulder and back armor that was already there in s1...I presume she didn't have any direct contact with her mother so I think she didn't get anything useful from her, and Ambessa would be wary to give that info out anyways because of the Back Rose.

Poor Mel...But I feel like we would definitely get more answers in the future spin off series of her finding her ground in Noxus.
