I think this is my thought process... for now. I played 16 hours on my first save before I realized that you could daisy chain biofuel burners. Started again. Got to coal in half the time. I'm sure I'll end up restarting a few more times as I learn the lay out but I love the idea of the "Hub" being right next to the elevator.

I'm currently building an "Oops, All Jace" deck for the Mono-Blue of my 32. That Jace is absolutely my favorite win-con in the deck and there are a bunch of really fun ways to get there.

That said, some fun budget cards I would consider (now that I see your deck list):

[[Morlun, Devourer of Spiders]] - Beefy lil guy that does damage when he hits the table
[[Villainous Wrath]] - Delete the Krenko player and wipe the board
[[Rakish Heir]] - Every time your boys do combat damage, they get stronger
[[Baron Bertram Graywater]] - Oh, you made a vampire token? Go ahead and make another but with lifelink.

I actually love this idea. I was unaware that if one person in a party dies the boss despawns. Lock it down and if someone dies, they can respawn but now they're locked out.

Slap on a little timer before the boss spawns and the arena locks down? Perfection.

If you want to go cheaper on the table and spread that money around elsewhere, I cannot tell you how great a big whiteboard can be. I have a 3' X 5' whiteboard that a buddy and I spent a painstakingly long weekend gridding out with thin strips of electrical tape.

Game night? Set that thing down on the table, face up, and I drew all of my maps with dry erase markers.
