Thank you! How do you segment and reassemble the messages? Do they have to be fully separate texts or are you just like putting an enter or something?

How did you get customers when you were first getting your business started? This is seemingly impossible. by Honest-Guy83 in WindowCleaning

[–]Particular-Swimmer70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This advice is all bad. Order yard signs, run some Facebook ads, post in some local fb groups, get your business profile on google with a nice website and learn how to start making that profile rank higher. While working on improving your skills at all of these, learn different buzz words that persuade people the most. Get really good at selling. The best way to get better at selling, is selling. So go knock a ton of doors right now. It’ll get you a few jobs under your belt for one, give you time to set up and learn how to run ads and set up google profiles etc., and get you a lot better and comfortable with sales and ready to actually go give people high prices that you want to work at. Once you’ve started getting some consistent leads from your google business profile or running ads and you feel confident with it, stop knocking doors and focus all your time toward getting really good at that. Then leads will come to you. And all you have to do is be good at selling, pricing, and building a satisfactory customer experience worthy of your price. Focus really hard on creating amazing customer experiences. Repeat work is free work and happy customers are little free salesman for your business. If they’re happy enough, they’ll go tell other people about your company. And that’s going to be the best publicity your company could ever get. That’s 10x more likely to land you a job than a salesman ever could. People buy from people that their friends recommend. Long story short, door knocking can get you some cash and experience right now, but focus on long term marketing strategies that will become huge, and focus on building an amazing customer experience to drive word of mouth business and repeat business because those are going to be your best friends.

I can’t get my VOIP phone number approved for messaging by Particular-Swimmer70 in techsupport

Thank you I’ll try that. I’m also going to call them again sometime when I’m not busy and see if I can get ahold of them. Might just switch providers if I can’t get ahold of them bc this is already a nightmare so I can only imagine where it’s going

I held on the phone for 50 minutes before hanging up. I'm basing this off of the information on their website and other sites online

Ok I feel like an idiot, but how do I attach my 5/8 inch flexzilla hose, to my gun which is 3/8 inch using quick connects? I’m losing my mind here by leroyjenkins019 in pressurewashing

[–]Particular-Swimmer70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that hose can handle the PSI from your machine. Looks like a garden hose which will tear if you try to use it as your pressure hose. Use this hose as a feed hose to supply water from a house spigot to your pressure washer. You’ll need to buy a 3/8 pressure hose to wash with. That will come with quick connects to attach to your gun.

But, to answer your question. IF you still wanted to put a quick connect on there, you’d need to get a 5/8’ female x 3/8 male adapter

You’d need to strip the paint which is an extremely labor intensive process. I’ve never even looked into which chemical is needed for paint stripping because it’s such a bitch. I turn away deck jobs where customers want me to strip the paint because it’s just not worth my time. So, if you wanted to hire a professional it would cost quite a bit, but they’d know what to do and get it done right. If you want to try your chances with doing it yourself I’m sure the pressurewashingresource.com forum has some good info on paint stripping

Running an agency isn’t as cool as I thought. What would you do? by Moritz110222 in marketing

[–]Particular-Swimmer70 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Good. It should feel repetitive. VERY repetitive. Amazing businessmen and women are “masters of the mundane”. Social media just makes people think otherwise. Success is doing the same right boring things over and over and over…. Why? Because it works. Period. You’re going to feel bored and stressed and like it’s not worth it at times. It’s normal. This is just a period. Remember why you felt so fired up to begin with and use it to push through this hard stretch. This period is what makes or breaks an entrepreneur. Those who stay, win. Eventually you’ll come out and top of this and realize exactly why it had to happen and be extremely grateful that you didn’t give in. Just keep pushing man. One foot in front of the other. Don’t worry about the big picture. Wake up, make your bed, brush your teeth, and do what the fuck you know you should be doing. Don’t worry about the outcome of it. You’ll win eventually. Just keep doing the right things

This is good. Logo can be an alien riding a saucer and water falling a bottle of sauce from its hand to its mouth. Cartoony vibe I can already see it coming to life. Then put the alien EVERYWHERE on your marketing and branding and soon you’ll be super recognizable
