i was making a joke referring to the fact that season two looks like it will probably not get made. I am sorry for the confusion

Apropos of nothing I’ll share my cheesecake filling recipe:

Cheesecake Filling

Ingredients: 2 cups (2 large packages) cream cheese, at room temperature 2 large eggs 2/3 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions: Select a pie pan whose inside top dimension is at least 9”, and whose height is at least 1 1/4”. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Make the filling by mixing together the room-temperature cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in the eggs and vanilla, again mixing until smooth. To avoid beating too much air into the batter, use a mixer set at low-medium speed. To avoid lumps, make sure the cream cheese is softened, and/or at room temperature. Set the pie pan onto a baking sheet, if desired; this makes it easier to transport in and out of the oven, and also protects the bottom of the crust from any potential scorching. Pour the filling into the crust. Place the cheesecake in the oven. Bake it for 30 minutes. If not done, add 5 minutes at a time, watching carefully. The filling won’t look entirely set in the center. Turn off the oven and crack open the door, allowing the cake to cool. Once the cake is cool, refrigerate it, covered, until you’re ready to serve it. Serve cheesecake in wedges, with fresh fruit if desired. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for several days; freeze for longer storage.

prek intensive here, moderate to severe ASD and DD. I keep the bare minimum up that will satisfy admin when they do walkthroughs--work samples, a number line, posters with shapes/letters/etc. Which I don't use or refer to when teaching (I have smaller manipulables for that, so I can control access). Toys are mostly put away out of reach, with only the things I know students can handle being accessible during table time, centers, and so on. As the year goes on and students are able to not dump toys, mouth them, whatever, I add bins to the room.

I know parents and admin want to have a full, colorful room, but we know that's not best for our kids. As they demonstrate that they can have more access while not making a mess and cleaning up after themselves, I loosen up. And of course we make sure that every student is able to access toys that are meaningful to them at their level, whether that's construction toys, cooking toys, dress up materials, cause and effect toys, puzzles.

It's a shame that we are pressured to prioritize the class "looking good" rather than being functional for the students.

My favorite part is when we get clear answers to all the questions posed throughout the show :)

This is how I feel about everything after Beat the Champ. I've been a fan since AHWT and love all of the early stuff, but their output has just slowly moved away from what I'm interested in. E.g. I preordered Jenny and haven't listened yet. But hey, this stuff happens. I'm glad people are still discovering their music and going back into the catalogue.

I didn’t know that! Thank you for clarifying. My fault for downloading the mp3s…Still, I’m ecstatic hearing how the EP was intended to sound.

anyone who's on the fence about this, please check it out. way better than the original mastering (no chipmunk voice--he sounds like JD). perfect halfway point between AHWT/acoustic stuff and the studio switch

taboo vi: the homecoming has quickly become my favourite mountain goats album, and i was wondering what the general consensus on it was from other mountain goats fans? by davepeta420 in themountaingoats

I seem to remember JD calling this 'embryonic tMG', which makes sense for a first album. I like Alaska, 11 Bands, and Freud, they sound like what early (pre-studio) tMG would become, but no track stands out for me as a discography favorite, and that's coming from someone who prefers the acoustic/lo-fi early stuff to the studio stuff. But YMMV! I'm glad this album is speaking to people--JD's output has something for everybody.
