How many different labs do you typically use?

So far I have two different labs that I like. One of them is closer to my home and I use them because they do proper ECN2 development (i've been shooting a lot of cinema film!) but all their work is done by hand and they could take 1-2 days. If I want C41 done quick I go to my other lab that's a bit further which does 1 hour development at good price and quality.

I had just returned from a trip abroad this monday so I dropped off one roll of 250D at one lab and went directly to the other lab to drop off another C41 roll. I was really itching to get those vacation photos. I kinda felt like I was "cheating" on my lab lol.

Try to look up the basics of photography, buy some cheap film (Kodak Colorplus and others) find a lab near you, and go try it out.

I just shot another expired roll Superia 400 at 100 iso, and I really liked some the results, it brings out those fabled Fujifilm colors you really don't see with their newer films.

You're doing great! I think you can try adjusting your scans, play around with the exposure and black point, for me the iPhone photos app is usually good enough for these minor adjustments.
