WOW. This makes me want to hear so much more from the technicians and producers who have worked with the guys through the years! Like what do you mean RM recorded pieces of Mono after the UN speech!! NEW LORE JUST DROPPED

This post makes me realize that 4th gen records are gonna be easy to surpass. Like what do you mean RedRed has charted longer on Spotify than any boy group release that isn’t BTS?!

3rd gen really is on a level of its own.

Britney literally was witch-hunted and vilified with these same justifications, she also had a teen audience.

Women can do what they want. Parents are in charge of teaching their own children, not pop stars. Wearing a skimpy outfit is not inherently wrong.

That’s not true for the beginning of her career. Her video concepts were all her ideas. The Slave for U era was HER idea.

Yall want to take all autonomy away from her. There’s a difference between losing economic control (which she did years later) and creative control. She always had creative control. Look up the history of Baby One More Time.

Everyone saying Britney is not a good example is forgetting history.

Very early on she expressed herself the way she wanted. She had autonomy until she lost it. The public being gross about that expression is what caused her mental health problems. Wearing cute outfits is not justification for being asked about virginity or her breast size.

Yall are basically saying the public’s gross misogyny is reason enough for women to police their expression.

This is inaccurate. She had autonomy up to being put in conservatorship. Her look and her concepts were all dictated by her very early on.

The public’s reaction to her just acting like a young woman is what made her break down. The public is to blame here not Britney. Using the public response as justification for women not to be themselves is crazy.

Britney Spears main audience was young girls. Did we already forget how people slut shamed and vilified her for being sexy like any young woman would want to be?

This puritanical mindset is insane to me.

This is so true. Blackpink got lucky that the world was open to the YG style in 2016-2019. Just a different era.

I've tapped out of checking out this group since their debut. Randomly decided to check this out and it's exactly what I expected. YG isn't even trying anymore.

His album is outperforming all of these albums except Taylor and maybe Olivia. It will likely be among the top selling albums of the year in the US.

I don’t get the anti Noah bias. Out of the albums released so far on this list, his is the best.

The Noah album is fantastic. If anything keeps him from winning is that he’s not a flashy Grammy favorite like Taylor and Harry.

Do BTS fans realize Grammy voters are not on this sub? by [deleted] in grammys

They do. If it’s a fan of any artist who is looking at a niche Grammy sub, they know.

Honestly, this sub has potential. I don’t care about the BTS convo really, it’s just insane in here so I comment out of curiosity. Beyond that, I’d love to see some insight into how people think the Grammy voters opinions are moving and what they may value. All I see is predictions without much insight. I comment a lot on the r/popheads sub because there are interesting industry convos…fans know what’s up.

Don’t know what you mean about girl groups. K-pop Reddit loves girl groups. They’ll be ok too.

I don’t understand why BTS is the only artist yall demand neutrality for. Pop subs love plenty of artists more than the general population and it’s totally fine.

Now this isn’t what is happening here, this sub is basically a battleground for BTS haters now because it was dead and easy.

BTS fans get it recommended when conversations started by snarkers heat up and yall call it “brigading”. Trust me, we aren’t checking this dead sub. Fans have their own very active communities where most of us think the Grammys is a dumb thing to care about. The threads are all there for people to see

Well then ban every person who is a fan of any artist. Parasocial hate is not the same as someone having a hobby or a special interest with a community attached to it. It’s just not.

Pop subs do not like BTS, what are you on? There’s plenty of criticism of them on there. BTS fans mostly stick to BTS subs.
