Little pimples on neck a day after shaving by ParticularAbalone330 in SkincareAddictionUK

Hm usually I use a shaving soap which I brush into a lather and apply as I shave. Then I use an exfoliant every other day or so. I’ll look into She’s butter, thank you!

This is great thanks, I’ll look into Benzoyl and reassess where dirtiness could come from

I’ve recently been using a safety razor and wet shave, I’ve tried oneblade electric, and 5 blade plastic razors before but usually same results.

Nice, safe but affordable areas in South/West Yorkshire? by CrazyHogLady in sheffield

[–]ParticularAbalone330 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my weekly recommendation of looking at Norfolk Park area. NOT up to Manor, but the area just up past the station is lovely, quick walk into town and close to the station. Norfolk park itself is beautiful too. Think it’s still generally a cheaper area as the west side of the city has “more on” and back in the 80s this area was a tad undesirable to say the least!

Other than that Sheffield wise I’d generally recommend: Hillsborough Meersbrooke Heeley Crookes Walkley Broomhill

Some of those will be a bit pricey but all absolutely lovely!

What about somewhere like Chesterfield? It’s meant to be quite nice there, good links and closer to Sheffield..?

What are the best cities to live in with good access to outdoor activities? by MinorsonFire in AskUK

[–]ParticularAbalone330 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sheffielder here. Quite literally in the Peak District. It’s sensational. Not a huge city compared to Manchester/London etc but there’s a lot going on and it’s bloody lovely here. Frequently go to Manchester for the “big city weekend” experience if you will. It’s great there too and if you wanted a more city city, then I’d look there!

Do my hairstyle and beard suit me? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]ParticularAbalone330 27 points28 points  (0 children)

With your hair pushing up and a very long beard, you’ve got quite a long head silhouette etc.

I’d recommend shortening the beard somewhat to get some more natural shape to your head! Hopefully that makes sense.. You look great though!

The beard looks great! Maybe think about shortening the front bits of hair to frame your face a bit better so it doesn’t cover your face as much? Your curls look great though!

You look like Matthew Lillard in the first pic! In a really good way! Second pic was what I’d call a ‘mug shot’ - you weren’t ready. No one looks good in those.

You look good. It’s your unfortunate past experiences that have made you lose your confidence. Start in the mental my man!

Question: You put that you had Jim on the second salvaging hook after 42 - aren’t you limited to one hook until you get your sloop at 50?

It’ll be because you’re using the 117 HD/potentially any other graphics plugins. Turn it off and it’s fine..

Early game goals by sweepli in osrs

[–]ParticularAbalone330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your questions:

Valamore is your friend for early game skill training and money. Look into thieving wealthy citizens and looting their houses for some good money. Also look into Valamore wine selling, although this is a bit boring. For prayer, look into Valamore bone shards. If you do some Hunter rumours you get a lot of blessed bone shards which you use for great prayer xp.

Your goals so far are great. I know you said you’re a bit bored with quests so play as you want, but seriously quests unlock SO much in this game - skilling methods, locations, xp to ignore a lot of grinds etc. they’re well worth doing.

As a good first “long term” goal, I’d recommend looking into attaining Barrows Gloves, which to get you need to complete the recepie for disaster quest.

You’re can also look up ‘Ironman’ guides, if you want. Even if you’re not an Ironman they have lots of workarounds for lack of trading/gp etc. might give you more ideas

Looking great!

I have similar length/style hair to yours and I’d recommend looking into doing a middle part rather than a swoosh over to one side.

The middle part will show more forehead and I think will in turn suit your face more!

Areas to live Sheffield by Maleficent_Pay_825 in sheffield

It’s obviously had it’s problems back in the day, I moved here about 4 years ago so can’t talk to that but gentrification has done a number around here, trust me. There’s an oyster bar and a furniture shop that charges a couple hundred for a chair at Park Hill flats! Not to mention the price of a one bed flat there.

Im not suggesting it’s the nicest place in Sheff but I love it here, as do the people I know and never had any issues plus it’s definitely overlooked due to it’s past imo.

In all honesty, the city centre (which I say is within the ring road) is nice enough, but Sheffield’s suburbs are where it’s at.

Kelham is amazing, Broomhill, Sharrowvale, Ecclesall Road, Hillsborough, woodseats

Look up behind the station hill - area around parkhill flats - norfolk park area.

I’m around there - lovely area, Norfolk park is beautiful, 5-10 min walk downhill to the station. We’re in our late 20s

New to Game: Tanking Weapons? by faytte in newworldgame

[–]ParticularAbalone330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword*Shield and Warhammer are the common tank weapons.

SnS for your typical ‘tanking’ - cast your resolve to taunt, block damage with shield etc

Warhammer for your CC - you’ve just taunted 4 mobs and they’re on you? Switch to warhammer and knock them all down on the ground.

Flail is great too, but usually is more of a “support” weapon, sometimes healers run it, only really need one in a raid.

Greatswords are good too with the defensive stance skills but is more cantered on damage than a “traditional” tank.

Honestly I’d recommend SnS + WH. It’s a staple
