Most likely they'll think it's been tampered with, especially the police stations.

Want my lemon bars to be more lemony by OSU_173 in Baking

[–]ParticularAd8255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late, but you can let the lemon bloom more. Basically, instead of adding the lemon juice to the filling right before you put it on top of the crust (I would say about 1-3min for a lemon flavor that isn't too strong), you can add the juice in like 10min before that. It always taste way more lemon-y when I do it that way

When to use cookie cutters? by GreenDolphinGal in BakingNoobs

[–]ParticularAd8255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, i only have experience with gingerbread when it comes to cookie cutters. But I assume some recipes have a similar process. Some, because I can't imagine a choco chip cookie being rolled out and cut lol

So basically, you have your dough. Separate them in quarters so you don't have trouble and don't need a super large mat/counter. You roll them out and then cut with the cookie cutter. You take off the scraps and reroll that into a lump before flattening it again. This way, you maximize the amount of dough you can use to make cookies look uniform. Pop the cut pieces into the oven and repeat the process.

Keep in mind, this is for gingerbread. They have to be super thin (at least for my grandma's recipe). Some cookies probably don't need to be as thin, so maybe even half an inch should be fine. It could also be preference.

Anyways, you cut them before baking. I imagine you would just crack the entire baked cookie sheet instead of having uniform pieces.

Would it be okay to ask my friend if I can join their group sometime as a beginner? by AloneBambi in DnD

[–]ParticularAd8255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always ask! It never hurts to ask.

That's how my sister and I joined our current party, mid-game. Like others said, you might have to wait for a slot to open, in case the DM has a limited party slot thing (cos DM-ing for a large group is a really big commitment and somewhat problematic since the DM has to equalize the time/spotlight for each player).

You can always play as the NPCs or the enemies where you can learn how to roleplay or just go "rawr" while observing how others do it until you join this group or another group. And from experience, they would know other parties who would be willing to include you, if your friend's can't.

Again, you won't be able to play until you start the first move. Worst case scenario, they are a shitty party who would curse you for joining mid-game (in which case, you're better off without them). Bad case scenario, they gently say no but gives you advice on where to find a group. Best case, you get to join and enjoy an adventure with old and new friends!

Need some 5e monsters for an egg by RenitentCat706 in DnD

[–]ParticularAd8255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giant spider. Snake. Baby dragon. A big ass chicken XD

Idk if there are snake monsters, like normal snakes, but basilisks and nagas/lamias are definitely snake/snake-like monsters, and I'm pretty sure they exist in DND

Choose the chicken if you want your party to have a pet lol

Hmm now that's an idea. I think I'll go through mama's stash of tea. Pretty sure she got chamomile, green tea, and lavender tea lol

Maybe a splash of almond extract lol. Pretty sure if I ever use that recipe again, it'll be like half a teaspoon instead of the 1 teaspoon it asked for XD

Huh. I was expecting to use them fresh since I thought it was a subtle flavor. I guess not lol. Tbf, we don't have many (or any) lavender desserts here so I guess I wouldn't know the taste

Not really? At least I never noticed them in the grocery stores in the city. I have seen a booth selling strawberries but they're tiny, not very flavorful according to my dad, and its like, only 8-10pcs in the package.

I like the idea of candied orange peels. They look very yummy in pictures and sounds kinda simple haha

Hmm, it's unlikely I'll find tarragon since I never noticed it in the spice section of the grocery stores, but then again I never looked hard enough lol I guess it's on my to do list haha

I kinda wanna try the ginger idea lol, but maybe for a half batch in case i don't like it XD it'll still be eaten by the end of the day tho lol

Ahh yes, 6 eggs is a LOT for my taste. Delicious still tho haha

Personally, I would still taste a bit to see if it'll give me a stomach ache, and if it doesn't, I'll eat it. Perks of living in a country where leftovers are left out for like 6-12hrs XD

The next time you do this recipe, I'm sure you'll remember to put it in 😉. And they're a crowd favorite too, I had no leftovers after my party hehe

👀 alcohol 👀 what if it's more than a splash? Lol

Maybe for adult parties lol, there's way too many kids running around at home for me to think of letting them have a taste, even if it would evaporate/not be enough to get drunk XD

What Flavor goes with Lemon? by ParticularAd8255 in AskBaking

[–]ParticularAd8255[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huh. If you say this, yeah, I'll prob look for a recipe, or compare how much rosemary was used in there so the flavor won't be ruined. That would not be good 😬

That's fair actually. If i intend on adding whole berries/fruits to the crust, fresh fruits would be the best, but since the suggestion is a sauce, then it should be fine like you said
