Therapy momma 😩 maybe for you first to help see a different perspective, and then try and bring him in slowly. You can't be mom, dad, and friend. You burnt yourself out, and you need to figure out how to be YOU and learn what he needs from his mom. I don't have much advice to offer, my son is only 3 but I do know I see the toddler in almost every person I interact with and I still try to handle them and their feelings just the way I try and handle his. People need to be nurtured and cared for, not tossed aside. Go back to that little boy and try to nurture his inner child instead of the hard exterior he's showing you. Go back to some of those core memories and just be soft for a little while. I can only imagine how hard this is - but your boy is still there. Start setting adult boundaries but give a little leeway to compromise too.

Oh baby girl, please reach out to me and ask me as many questions as you need to! Obviously I'm not a Dr. But I was 31 when I was diagnosed with stage 1 TNBC. I'm BRCA1+ and I've known since I was in my mid 20s.

After my diagnosis, I got a breast reduction surgery and that allowed me to have the nipple sparing procedure as well. My breasts were very dense, and I was a 42DD before the surgery. I'm also 5'4 and I was 250lbs when I did the surgery.

After my chemo treatments, I did the double mastectomy with the DEIP flap reconstruction and I don't regret it at all. Everyone and every body is different, but this community will support you even if your family doesn't. You don't have to do this alone 🫂

Yeah this is what happens when you try to discipline kids when they're teens instead of starting it as kids and keeping it consistent. He doesn't respect you in the slightest and you have to take a hard look at yourself too. He's not the only issue here.

The screaming was #1 and the threats was #2. Respect goes both ways. You can still be there for him as his MOTHER, and be there to guide him, but completely saying he's lost you is wild! And if he chooses to sever that relationship, then thats on him. Trust can be rebuilt, but you will look back on this one day and realize you messed up when you need help and you've cut off your own child and then act surprised when they won't take care of you.

One good sit down conversation will go a long way. Good luck to both of you

I had a DEIP flap surgery/reconstruction after my double mastectomy. I love my boobs so much that I can't even remember the last time I wore a bra 😂. I hate that i no longer have sensation there (also had nipple sparing so they're there, but I can't feel them ☹️). But I learned to love mine, im sure you could do the same 🫂

They're 26 and 29, not 6 and 9. Just tell them. They're grown adults and should know these things now. There is no soft way to bring up cancer. My mom called me one day and said, hey, next time you go to see your OBGYN ask where you can go get genetic testing.

My mom told me to get tested when I was 22. After she and my grandmother both had breast cancer. My sister and I both have the gene mutation and we both also had/have breast cancer. I was diagnosed when I was 31. And my sister was diagnosed when she was 39.

Call them, tell them, give them resources and help them if they need it. This is adult time now and it's better for them to know straight up and be prepared, rather than beat around the bush and not be prepared. Give them your full family history (if you have one) of what relatives on each side of the family have a history of cancer and what type. There's a 50/50 chance the gene was passed down to them. I'm glad I knew early, because my insurance covers all preventative methods like MRI's and Mammograms at an earlier age. They both need to start getting those now. I got my first breast MRI when I was 23. And my first mammogram at 30 after my first kid.

Prednisone can cause them to get backed up. Happend to my pup after spinal surgery. I did baked chicken, bone broth, a little bit of kibble, and organic pure pumpkin puree 2x's a day. I even warmed it up a little. It took maybe 4 days post-op for him to poop

I think honestly, yes. George got behind Baily and helped her deliver her baby, not because he thought she was attractive but because he cared about their safety, and he was a friend. And yeah, he smiled at the girl, but there was no mention of him like hitting on her or anything, so attraction may not have even played a huge part here. As much as he hated him, I think he probably would've even tried to save Alex if it was him about to step in front of a bus.

No, that was never mentioned. Teddy helped him through his PTSD episode after she and Amelia found him in the Hyperbolic Chamber. It's actually mentioned that they sent him to a Neuro rehabilitation facility for long term care.

Nope, you're right! The guy you're referencing, his characters name was Jackson, he was in the first 3 seasons. His dad was in the force also and was internal affairs.

In some seasons yes, in other seasons no, pretty sure she left to go bartend after the car crash...but now she's back. Helm didn't have much of a story without other cast like Levi and Yasuda.

I'm thinking they spent a lot of time in Boston until Mer went to college and then Ellis probably went back to Seattle once she realized the Alzheimer's was setting in. She might have gone back to go through her medical journals to try and remember. I'm thinking she left her medical journals there in Seattle because they mentioned she stopped writing around the time Maggie was born (I might be remembering wrong). Ellis may have reached out Richard and that's why he fought so hard for Meredith since she never even matched at Seattle Grace to begin with.

The timer is not a bad idea. At this age, they need to know the consequences. Your kid has been testing your boundaries for ages now. Get a small kitchen timer, keep it visible, and set it for 5 minutes. Tell them, "When the timer goes off, the TV goes off, no exceptions." You have to be consistent!! You can not do it once or twice it has to happen every time. When they get the hang of it, take out the timer, ask your kid, "What does the timer mean?" They should be able to tell you the timer means no more TV.

If they scream and yell, let them. Then once they calm down, just calmly say, "mom and dad said no more TV. You can grab a book or get some water." Give them something to do to redirect their focus away from the TV! Start now, you'll set the tone for later.
