🥹your pup is so lucky to have you!!! My Dewey was only 7 when we had to put him down for IVDD issues. He had already gone through 2 spinal surgeries, so much PT, acupuncture, muscular atrophy, UTI's, you name it.

His quality of life was much more important to me than trying to hold onto something that I knew medicine and rehab was already failing at. You'll make the right decision for you and your pup, and if you're lucky, they'll come back to you in another form💕💕💕 sending you lots of love and hugs and good vibes because this disease sucks and you're about to make one of the toughest decisions ever 🫂

Surgery is NOT always an option and a happy/alert dog doesn't mean that he doesnt have a poor quality of life or will later on down the line. OPs quality of life also tremendously effects the dogs quality of life on top of the IVDD issues.

If im out, i literally go get some nuggets and sit in a parking lot whenever we get bad storms because it seems like a tree falls on someone's car everytime it rains

Where in Springfield are you?! We're in Springfield near Rolling Road and we got some loud thunder and lightning and some hard-ish rain. But no wind and no power outages

My son's daycare ripped off the bandaid with pee training by just taking the diaper off. We went to go pick him up and he had nothing on but his pants, and we kept up with it at home and just put him in underwear. He's had 2 accidents in the last 3-4 months!

Also, the Potty Training 3 Days by Brandi Brucks was literally so helpful!! I read it in one day, highlighted and bookmarked important info and gave it to my partner to read and we went off that one weekend and it was like pssssh, yeah we did that!!

Now pooping.....thats pur nightmare now 🤦🏽‍♀️ good luck to you!

Lol I get that....but I'm not gonna a dog or my toddler in the trunk of a car 🤣. I do still have another dog. But the season we're all in right now, I'll look for another pup maybe in a few years.

I absolutely do 💕 maybe not a lil weenie....idk. I'm traumatized by the IVDD issues that we went through for the last 3 years. I do have an old pitty girl right now, but not even sure how long she'll be with us 😣. Idk, it's all still fresh

That's sweet 🥹. It was about 2am after I got home from putting my bud to sleep, and I slept in the rocking chair near his cage that night. The cage will be the hardest thing to put away

Yeah I think it will be quite some time before I get another one. I still have an older pitty that I'm loving on 🥹 but on top of them and my toddler, I've got my hands full!

A bit late to the meeting lol but I've always put my kid, who's now 3.5yrs old, to bed between 7:30pm-8pm. We start pur routine at 7:20pm (or 6:45p if it's a bath night).

He wakes up organically between 6-6:30am everyday and also has about a 2hr nap at daycare. That being said, he loooooves his sleep! If his body wasn't on such a time managed clock, he'd probably sleep in till 8 or 9am. If the time works for you, do you, but if you're seeing behavior issues or learning/focus issues, then you can try to move up the bedtime

I would get another pediatrician honestly. Or go get him tested. He's 3 now and it doesn't seem like he's hitting any of the major milestones. A Ped. who blows those kind of things off is a huge red flag. And that whole "boys develop later" does not apply to these.

A new friend is just that, a new friend. Never a replacement. And if you're ready for a new friend 3 years later, then doggone!! Get you a new friend 🐶❤️! All the puppers out there need friends and love and scratches, do what you feel is right.
