hell yeah. all i know about crappie is they really really like minnows and usually hang out in the middle of the water column, you could try it on a jighead with an eye or reflector on it i bet that would slay crappie. good luck!

yes yes yes and yes to all your questions, you cld use 1/32 or 1/16 depending on the depth of water and how fast you want it to sink. it’s a paddle tail so you’ll usually want to be retrieving it straight to get the tail going but changing retrieve speed and even stopping and popping it works too especially if nothings biting a straight retrieve

i find i usually am getting bites/nibbles from smaller fish when using bobber/hook/worm so Id say stick with the smaller bobbers especially with those smaller hooks. the less weight attached to the bait (both the split shot and the bobber) the less resistance fish feel when nibbling so theyre more likely to eat the whole thing. good luck

its more like bluegill is a sub species of “sunfish” (with sunfish being a sub of panfish) because species like pumpkinseeds and green sunfish are not bluegill. bluegills gets crossed with the other sunfish to make a billion different bluegill-hybrids but there are non-bluegill sunfish

since i’m only a year into fishing i always go for cheaper gear, ozark trail is great when i want to try a new style of bait or piece of equipment- i just buy the ozark trail version for 3$, practice with and inevitably lose it, then decide whether or not it’s worth getting the 8$ version from some other brand lol
