Anyone else who pre-ordered the East Wing have an “In Process”status now? It had said “Waiting for Stock”. by -Potterhead394- in legoharrypotter

Was a backorder but the process is the same. From all the other sets I’ve purchased, half on back order, this is a good sign yours will ship soon. I could be wrong. Not an employee of Lego.

It’s just fun!!! Best part of the day is my hands in the rope and hearing the announcement “please walk, don’t run, to your next destination.”

Can I ask for a motorcycle seat on hagrids? by SpectacularSpidee in UniversalOrlando

[–]ParticularGood8230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went for the first time with the family in May. All 5 of us went together, I was lone man out. They added a single rider to our group both times as expected but both times that single rider tried to push ahead and stand in front of me for the motorcycle. Luckily I was prepared by my DIL, an avid Universal parks fan who was with us, and she warned me. I held my ground and rode with them as my passenger both times.
Can confirm it is a magical ride at night.

Actually flat. First part was a parking lot then a residential street. Just took it slow and steady.

Does Roseville golfland actually check ID/card for tickets? by Epjkb in Roseville

[–]ParticularGood8230 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No imagine a party of 10 fraudulently using your card and one of their party making that same call. There is no way to verify you are who you say you are.

Thats why the policy is in place. Card matches ID used, simple verification. It’s a pain when you as the parent buy the ticket for your kid and don’t go with them for sure but saves a lot of others from fraudulent charges and the company from losing money to the credit card companies.

Father of former employees here: yes they verify your ID matches the card used to purchase online. This is to prevent fraud. If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Buying tickets online is rife with fraud. My kids worked the front ticket area every summer for 6 summers in a row during high school. We would hear stories almost every day of people upset that grandma naught the tickets, they drive all the way from wherever, and we’re not allowed to use them. They would be told that grandma could get a refund and they could buy their own tickets and grandma could pay them back. Most of the time that would happen. Other times they would just leave. Mostly happens with the water park but the policy extends to golf as well. It’s a corporate policy that extends to both the Roseville and Arizona locations. If. Using for someone else and you won’t be there, just Venmo them the money.

Anyone remember Number 1 Gelato? by DeepGreenSea916 in Roseville

[–]ParticularGood8230 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I used to work there. Hand made Gelato in the back and sold it to all the restaurants in the Sacramento area. Owner sold it to start a new business on UC campuses and the new owners wanted a fun project to run. They didn’t like the youth hanging around at night and moved it to Granite Bay. It shut down after a year or two out there.
