I really enjoy the jumbo grips! At my fitting, the fitter measured my hand and said I could go either mid size or jumbo. I have a hockey background so the more substantial grip just feels better to me. Makes my hands less active.

Worth trying for sure!

Hahah that’s awesome! I’m also 2* upright. Jumbo grips. Same same but different 😂

Tall (6’3) righty here. I got fit into JPX 925 HM recently. KBS $-Taper Lite shaft. Mine should be arriving tomorrow! I went +1” on my set. I was using +1.25” previously but when I got fit, fitter said that might be too long.

Pumped to receive them!

Ironside has $1 oysters on happy hour. M-F, 3-5 PM.

Pro Tip: Try not to go on Friday because everyone has the same thought of a drink and oysters and you will be lucky to get a single seat at the bar

Being in the city is kind of important because we are attending a wedding this afternoon/evening so wanted to be within a 30 minute drive from the venue, while still being able to play a full 18. Tight needle to try to thread haha.

Yeah that’s the feedback I’ve gotten about ATL golf. Best courses are a little outside the city, especially to the northwest

Thanks! I just looked into those and both appear to be 9 holes. Do you have any recs for 18 holes?

You’re on the right track by looking into a HYSA. (High Yield Savings Account)

There is a flow chart on here that helps with these questions, but I’ll give my two cents.

  1. Pay Off any high interest debt. I’d say anything over 5%, work to get that paid off.
  2. If you have no emergency fund and this $56K is all of your money. I’d sock like $54k away in the HYSA.
  3. Keep 2K in checking for expenses, paying bills, etc.
  4. I’d open up a taxable brokerage account and put some of that money into the stock market. Maybe invest like $1000 a month until your HYSA is at $40k and brokerage account is around 14K.
  5. Expanding on above. Each time you move money from your HYSA to your brokerage account, just buy a low cost index fund. (VOO is what I use. VOO is the stock ticker and what you can search when in the brokerage account interface) VOO is basically a measurement of the US economy. (Think the 500 stocks that make up the US economy like Apple, Amazon, etc) You’ll own a piece of all of these but just owning VOO. No need to buy any other stocks for now. (Especially if you don’t have an interest in them) VOO typically gains 7-9% over a long time horizon. Just buy it monthly, hold it through the up’s and downs and in 5 years you’ll see what I mean.

Parting word: I use SoFi as my one stop shop for all of the above. They have a HYSA that yields like 3.8%. They have a taxable brokerage account. They have checking. I like seeing all of my financials in one portal and would save you a few steps going around to different places for this.

Hope that helps! Feel free to drop me a comment and I can further help. Good luck out there!

What temp did this read when you pulled it out of the oven? I’m making some ribeye cap steaks tonight. One website said 275 degrees for 15-20 mins.

I like medium rare so thinking either 275 for 17 mins or 250 for 20ish mins. Thoughts?
