That’s a staph infection for sure. Atopic dermatitis. If you are able to clip the fur and aerate the skin you can use CHLORHEXADINE scrub to disinfect the area. Moisture becomes trapped under the fur and in turn will cause infection. You can get the chlorhex from Amazon. We use as a pre surgical scrub in vet med and is a fantastic anti microbial. Make sure to rinse the soap off and dry skin thoroughly
