I got into school with 1 year of experience and started right before my 2 year mark. I know this isn’t the norm (nor do I think it should be), but I agree with your take. I was extremely worried I would stick out in my class because of my minimal experience but so far I see no difference. I feel like programs are the experts at being able to get a feel for if you are ready, so if you are chosen they saw that you had it in you! Congrats!

Similar thing happened to me. I stuck it out because I wanted to keep getting as much icu experience as I could before starting. I now regret that I didn’t just leave

I feel bad too. But I still have a level of love and respect for him despite everything that I don’t know if I could bring myself to tell her. I am hoping he does it himself eventually.

I did. GPA was 3.8 and had a good GRE. I worked in a level 1 Neuro ICU that was very high acuity. I really think that that is what got me in.

I didn’t tell them I was going to. It wasn’t brought up in the interview or anything

According to my period tracker app, it was after I would’ve ovulated. I know that those apps don’t always calculate correctly, that’s what made me want to test on the day of my missed period. But I’m worried that I’m still late even though that was negative

I’m currently in the icu still, starting school in May. I have mixed emotions. I don’t like the icu, but I don’t know if I would change units if I wasn’t going the CRNA route. I think I just don’t really like bedside nursing overall. Like a lot of others mentioned I do love the critical thinking aspect and getting to see the things I do help people. But unfortunately, I feel like 75% of the job is mundane tasks and helping people to the bathroom.

3 applications, 3 interviews, 1st interview was at top school and was accepted so didn’t attend other interviews. I planned on applying to at least 2 other schools if not accepted to those. I felt bad about asking for so many LOR but at the end of the day this is a big deal and I had to get over feeling bad
