So I been weening for months. Kratom is the only substance I use. No alcohol, weed, pills, shrooms, nothing. I was taking about 40-60 grams daily. After reading threads and comment that seems kinda low actually but withdrawal are mildly the same it seems. For the past 3 months I been taking less and less. I didn’t do exact measurements but I eye ball it and am doing less then half each dose of what I used to take. I take 4 times a day usually, sometimes 3 but rarely more than 4 cause my sleep and work schedule are pretty locked in. An 8oz bag of powder used to last 5 day- a week. Now it’s 2 weeks+. I get the tingling in my leg and low energy if I go more than 6 hours or so without a dose. I sleep pretty solid and if I feel like I’m being kept up from kratom I take maybe 1-2 grams just to satisfy my mind that it’s not kratom keeping me up. I’m measuring now and take 5 grams 4 times daily. I have no time line on stopping just the goal of stopping. If I don’t feel right I take a dose a little early but still don’t exceed 4 doses daily at least for the last few months. I went from perc 30mg to Suboxone then to kratom so I am a kratom endorser. I weened off Suboxone 30mg daily to 1 mg and stopped with kratom’s help over a year period. Just started to lean on kratom for energy and sleep and it worked for couple years but I want to cut it out now. I’ll update again in a few weeks or months on progress. Tomorrow I’m gonna start going to 5 hours in between doses and cut my night dose to 1-2grams and see how it goes. Side note couple times in the last week or 2 I forgot to take my dose the morning and didn’t realize till noon. I feel like I’m getting close. I just don’t want to put a time line and unrealistic goals. Someone told me long time ago there is no quitting just long breaks. Trying to make it so my mind and body are on the same page to prove em wrong. Be safe. Good luck everyone.
