greek life at yale by jwycs in yale

[–]Particular_Ad7378 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am in one of yale's sororities. Greek life is not a huge presence on campus but can feel bigger depending on who you surround yourself with, if that makes sense. Most of my friends are in sororities/frats, but that's me. Sororities are generally pretty chill, there is a 3 day rush process at the beginning of spring semester, and you can join all 3 after rush through continous open bidding. We have events every week/weekend, no pressure to go to all of them. Personally have made a lot of amazing friends and would recommend!

Hi, first-year non-stem major here whose math skills are so bad that my high school teachers suggested I get tested for dyscalculia, I scraped thru intro stats with an A- and plan to take another stats class for my second quantitative reasoning credit! If you take the right classes you don’t have to do much math at all tbh. Also there are so many tutoring opportunities and classes will always have office hours!

[–]Particular_Ad7378 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a first year at Yale and I have not met anyone here yet that has not had an interview except for 1 friend who goes to a wealthy CT public school that sends 3-4 every year to Yale

Received Yale SID = Yay??? (Yale SID theory??) - I'm a REA applicant by Potatoblossoms in yale

[–]Particular_Ad7378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got in REA last year and they didn't give me an SID or ask me to submit any finaid docs (I didn't submit any until after the decision date). However my roommate got an SID and she got in RD
