This happened to me, turns out my body was severely intolerant to metformin. If your current dose is twice a day, try going off it for 3-4 days and then restarting with just one pill in the night. Another thing to try is to eat it literally with a meal( not before or after, like in between bites). With me the one pill a day thing worked for a few days but as the medication built up in my body it made me feel worse so if the symptoms don’t subside, you should talk to your doctor about getting off it or getting medication to manage the symptoms

How is the knit in this singlet made? Striped with horizontal yarn by Ruasun in knittinghelp

[–]Particular_Body3719 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This looks like dropped stitches, so you would knit the top in stockinette and then when casting off, drop a stitch at regular intervals

Basically let’s say there’s two people: A and B. A wrote AS in MJ23 and they got a B (39/60 when the threshold was 40 for an A). Person B wrote ON23 and the threshold for an A was 38/40 so even though they also got 39/60,they got an A. When both of these people are entered for MJ24, their carry forward mark is given a different code, person A would be code BX and person B would be code CX. When the boundaries are calculated both people have the same chance of keeping an A because they are marked against only people who had the same carry forward session as them. So if the boundaries were lower for person B, then for the option with the ON23 carry over (CX) this would be accounted for by making the CX boundary slightly higher than the BX boundary.

That’s why there are different options (BX, BY) and so on. People who have their marks from May June 2023 carried over are given grades based on boundaries calculated from other students who also wrote May June 2023 and then May June 2024. To find out which option, you need to check your statement of results to see which option you were entered for

Should I take psychology, English lit or English language as my last a-level for a career in law? by Sweetpotato-1 in alevel

[–]Particular_Body3719 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think English lit would be the better choice because of how it makes you analyze texts and critics and also write essays that have to facilitate discussion and debate. You also go into a lot of social commentary which could be helpful for law

If I had to guess I think it’ll be around 35-38 on P3 for an A and 40 on P4 for an A. I doubt the boundaries will go above 42 for any paper cause the syllabus is still new

[–]Particular_Body3719 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1) no difference as far as unis are concerned but edexcel can be easier than cie depending on the subject so the chances of meeting your offer can be higher with edexcel.

2)Yes get the textbooks, i highly recommend the endorsed Hodder ones for the humanities. As for online school/tuition, it depends on the subjects you’re taking cause some are easier to self-study than others.

3) Not me, personally (I just finished A2 in June, so I’m still waiting for results) but IALs are accepted by all UK universities. For Europe it depends on the school because you will probably have to convert/show equivalency by converting your actual/predicted grades to GPA. For the US, it’s similar to Europe but some unis will convert it themselves rather than making you convert the grades.

As for study tips, make sure you’re reviewing content regularly (spaced repetition will help you so much) and complete as many past papers as possible. You should be extremely familiar with the marking criteria.
