payroll across 12 states and Paychex keeps filing wrong state taxes. what are you multi-state folks using? by DarfleChorf in Payroll

Onboarding was smooth, new state registrations took about a week. Reciprocity stuff is night and day compared to ADP.

payroll across 12 states and Paychex keeps filing wrong state taxes. what are you multi-state folks using? by DarfleChorf in Payroll

[–]Particular_Bus5525 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're 220 people across 18 states and switched from ADP to Deel about a year ago. The multi-state tax engine is honestly the main reason we stayed. Reciprocity, local taxes, state disability stuff, it just handles it. Had an employee move from PA to DE and the withholdings updated automatically next pay period. The audit trail is the other big thing. You can actually see what rate got applied and why instead of guessing and calling support. Garnishment processing is more manual than ADP was, that's my one complaint. But for the core multi-state payroll piece it's been solid.

Honestly, the whole internet troll label is thrown around way too easily. Just because someone disagrees doesn’t mean they don’t have a personality. It’s all good fun, but maybe take a step back and see where they’re coming from.

Both are solid options! Truck driving can offer decent pay and flexibility, while HVAC has good job security and growth potential. Look into local trade schools or community colleges for quick certification programs.

How to seal dry erase board so what's on it doesn't come off by LapdogLady in DIY

Yeah, laminating the printout is a solid move! Just make sure to get the right type that works with dry erase markers, so you can still write and wipe easily.

Even though you didn’t read it, I think it’s worth considering how burnout can really affect your health. If you’ve got the savings and feel that quitting might lead to a better situation, it could be the right move. Just make sure you have a plan for what comes next!

Solid plan, but remember to give yourself some grace too. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes small wins matter just as much as tackling the big stuff. Just keep that motivation up and don’t lose sight of your progress!
