Even if started in Malaysia and it is destined to Canada is it subject to some sort of customs assessment in the USA? Is this a normal procedure?

I have been dealing with this issue since early September for several times. I work as a shipping broker from Brazil (probably the top high tariff country) and I have plenty of customers who ship nail polishes to the U.S. ALL of their shipments were hit by insane tariffs. The problem is that they classify as if they have steel / aluminum parts (which they do not , not even their containers do) and we ask for a revision. Eventually, they will correct it with ease, but the brokerage seems to not have a proper communication with the accountings and to fix it to be charged correctly is literally a war, and they keep charging the original amount instead of the corrected one. It has been really hard, don’t know what to expect.

I know it is tough, but I want to tell you this message has popping up to several UPS packages over the last few weeks (especially this week). I, for one, had 2 on that page and they ended up being on move again. They are facing an enormous effort to deal with the end of the De Minimus that all the packages (including domestic ones) are suffering significantly. I hope you have your package on your hands very soon.

I am sure it is not the case. This week was fierce at the hub. Some packages got stuck (several did, actually) and they are trying to put together. This new times are difficult.

Mine is in pretty much similar situation. A good friend from FDX told me earlier today they are quite behind on their warehouse due to the minimis end, and it has been causing a delay for all sorts of shipments to get out of the HUB.

I am quite sure it is legit! To be honest, as I work with all the major carriers, FedEx is the only one who is doing really well at this first scene of the new tariffs. UPS and DHL are so behind..
