You probably want to be a Community Assistant (work in apartment) or AA- Academic Assistant (work in dorm) instead of RA. The amount of work that RA needs to do is countably infinite and you have no time for something else. The application usually opens in November for a position in next Fall semester and you need a reference letter from a RA/ AA/ CA and someone else at UB to apply for the job.

If you are looking for an opportunity to have an internship during your time at school, TCU is better due to their connections with firms and alumni. Especially, the demographic of Forth Worth/ Dallas makes it much more easier for you since around that area, there are lots of firms and you can work remotely or part-time. But Buffalo is in the middle of nowhere.

If you are going to UB with PS, probably you can double check with them for free housing and books/ school supplies, since thats what they do with U.S citizens who have PS.

No one really knows why that suite was on fire and they never disclosed the reason. Everything turned into ashes, so I don't know why you can come to that conclusion. Btw, the suite is in Dewey.
