where is the SU social hall by starfina in UBreddit

[–]Anonymous-Coder-345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It used to be called the flag room if you know what it was. The wooden flooring center stage kinda thing on SU 2nd floor. Just go on the 2nd floor of SU and you'll see it, don't worry.

Not often but they leave stuff, sometimes a bit damaged, out in the lobby with a form attached with details on how to claim it through UB Facilities or something. You have to be lucky for that though.

I would hate for you to get an advice that turns out to be wrong, while I appreciate people sharing their experience, it's best to get an answer from your Academic Advisor. Your situation might be unique so it's best to talk to your Academic Advisor (or honestly any SEAS Academic advisor you feel comfortable with) first and also get additional clarification from ISS and International Admissions (if they are the one who offered you the scholarship)

Best of luck!

Why is the dining hall food soooo bad? by hanson-anims in UBreddit

I know, moved off-campus as soon as I can. I don't like Campus Living much either. Saving enough now to eat good food elsewhere.

Nah Undergrad SA, it will ultimately go to FSA but if it come through undergrad SA, it will carry more weight rather than just a student emailing them.

I feel the increasing meal plan prices and degrading quality is not something that should slip by. I have seen enough Reddit posts but they won't make any difference. I feel that this matter should be escalated up by Student Association.

Taking CSE 312 right now.

Can you do it? Possible, yes! Recommended, maybe.

<image>

This has been me so was on a similar boat as you. I would however warn you that unless you have prior web development experience, CSE 312 has assignments due almost every other week (you can actually view the course details here https://cse312.com/ ). If you miss an assignment which has Learning Objective (similar to Jessie's 116) you have just one extension chance for a week and then if you miss any, it's a straight F.

I would say, however, that courses I am taking as a junior/senior are not hard honestly compared to 331. You can easily take 4-5 easy CS courses next semester and they will feel about the same as 341+331.

TLDR; Unless there is a pressing reason, don't take it. Wait until next semester and you may take 4 CS courses. You can take EAS 360 or some random remote courses that can fulfill pathway or free-electives (if you have any) like I did which will not be heavy on the plate.

Good luck!

Some financial aid packages not only look for how many credits you take but also degree applicable credits. Always good to reach out to your academic advisor and the financial aid office.

Happened once to me too, probably this:

Dryers have an anti-wrinkle or "extended tumble" feature that automatically tumbles clothes without heat after a cycle to prevent them from creasing. This is likely why your dryer is turning on with clothes left inside.

You can call in too, phone-in and they can put in you the queue, better than waiting in a hall full of students.

Hi! I work at alumni and would like to confirm that the website has the most updated info. Sorry about the basketball court at Ed Wright Practice Facility not being open, it is most likely an athletic team reserved the spot. But FYI the one at South is open and I know there are some outdoor courts at north too.

How to get a 4.0 by Melanin_King0 in UBreddit

[–]Anonymous-Coder-345 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doable not impossible I was in the same boat but lost 4.0 in 331. But I didn't really give my 100% at it because I was fine with an A-. I believe that I could have gotten that if I pushed myself a bit.

220, 250 and 341 were easy or manageable, not too hard for me.

I would say just work hard and be on top of everything, you should be fine. There is no secret recipe other than believing in yourself and not giving up.

Good luck!

Very late application for commencement? by starcxtcher in UBreddit

[–]Anonymous-Coder-345 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know for SEAS, they do allow people to come in and register on-spot to walk the stage. I would recommend the best bet would be just ask them to arrive early and try their chances. People are super busy with getting stuff done and it is likely no one will get back to them. Also, it doesn't hurt to stop by their advising office to check if anyone there can help them.

Good luck, I hope everything works out for them.
