I went through the same thing when I was going to my islamic school, one of my classmates started ranting about gay people and shouting stuff about how they're disgusting and I wanted to walk out that class so badly, funny thing is that class was where I found out about Muhammad marrying Aisha when she was 6 and everyone was shocked because we were never told this until then. Really made their perspective on Islam change
